Seattle is under siege. Over the past five years, the Emerald City has seen an explosion of homelessness, crime, and addiction. In its 2017 point-in-time count of the homeless, King County social-services agency All Home found 11,643 people sleeping in tents, cars, and emergency shelters.

Property crime has risen to a rate two and a half times higher than Los Angeles’s and four times higher than New York City’s. Cleanup crews pick up tens of thousands of dirty needles from city streets and parks every year.

At the same time, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the Seattle metro area spends more than $1 billion fighting homelessness every year. That’s nearly $100,000 for every homeless man, woman, and child in King County, yet the crisis seems only to have deepened, with more addiction, more crime, and more tent encampments in residential neighborhoods. By any measure, the city’s efforts are not working.

And that's because Koon County, Washington is as extreme left as Berzerkley or Sodomcisco...

There is only one "solution" in their minds..."more money." Never: more morality.

MARYSVILLE — The plan was simple: Steal tools and pawn them for money.
That’s what two men, 22 and 23, reportedly had in mind when they showed up to the Coastal Farm & Ranch store in Marysville on Saturday afternoon, according to a police report. They allegedly took four nail guns, each worth over $400, walked out of the store and got into a Honda Civic.
They didn’t expect to be surrounded by about six customers with guns raised.
One customer was standing in front of the car, yelling at the alleged thieves to get out.
“He won’t shoot, run him over,” one of the suspects reportedly said.
The driver pulled forward, causing the man confronting him to land on the hood, court papers say.
Another customer shot at the driver’s side front tire, according to documents. A third fired twice at the rear tire.
Someone shot at the car one more time as it left the parking lot, records show.
An employee saw the car leaving and drove after the theft suspects. He said he saw one of the men lean out the passenger window and hold up what looked like a gun. The employee stopped chasing the men and went back to the store.
Marysville police found the theft suspects’ car unoccupied about three blocks away, with two flat tires and the tools inside. Both men were apprehended after a search.
They denied having a gun, or seeing the employee follow them. Police found no firearms in the car.
The men also denied hitting anyone with the car.
However, security tape showed a vehicle striking someone, according to the police report.
The two men, who were from Mukilteo and Everett, were booked into the Snohomish County Jail under investigation of first-degree theft. Both remained in custody Monday afternoon.
Marysville police Cmdr. Mark Thomas on Monday said it’s unclear if the other people involved fired their guns lawfully, as they left before law enforcement got there. Security footage showed one of them getting in a vehicle just as the first officer arrived, Thomas said.
“Anytime you’re firing a weapon in a public place, especially a few days before Christmas in a crowded parking lot, it is a grave concern,” Thomas said.
The department is asking those who shot at the car to come forward and provide statements.

Cops are not here to protect anyone, only to generate income after the fact. They are the last to any burglary or invasion yet first to the doughnut shops for free stuff.

Progressive liberalism in practice. The greatest insanity is that those who live in it, are apparently unaware of the problem and are unable to change their viewpoint.

Rather it seems that when their dream world is crumbling, through the implemented policies, it seems like these dimwits finds even greater urgency in forcing in even more insane policies of progressive retardiness.

A new Seattle housing law forbids landlords from checking tenants’ criminal history

They say the act helps chip away at a housing crisis, especially for over-policed minorities disproportionately saddled with arrests and convictions.

While other cities limit how far in time landlords can delve into a tenant’s criminal past, Herbold said Seattle’s law appears to be the first blocking any inquiry at all.

Problem; People are afraid of renting property to criminals

Solution; Make it impossible for people to find out if a stranger is a criminal

Any ideas why this may not work out as policy makers wish? ;)

So it would seem they are welcoming the homeless, then using them as a means to extort money from taxpayers and donors. They then steal this money. If they used it to fix the homeless problem then of course there would be no more excuse to ask (demand) more money from the taxpayer. You don't kill the goose that lays your golden eggs.

I'll be curious to know how the "non-US Citizen" feels when the "authorities" transfer the deeds to his properties to the government via civil asset forfeiture after he says "I'm not a US Citizen, so this rule didn't apply to me."

For the owner of the property the solution would be to not rent out or rent out only to people you know without advertising. Of course in the extension I can see they will go after these solutions also. Property ownership to these people is an abomination, heresy to their religion.

Well that is a problem, but it is worth addressing as it is an avenue out of this communist system.

Number one is a court has to be a court of your peers and if you are not a US CITIZEN, you can demand a court of your peers who have to all be non-US CITIZENS.

This requires someone knowledgeable in property law and that is not me.

The fact is they have been lying to us for a long time. When they acquired the title to your property they did not pay for it and can't prove that they paid for it. So how do they transfer it?

It is my understanding they provide a quit-claim deed to prospective buyers. I can give you a quit-claim deed to the Brooklyn Bridge and be perfectly legal.

I dont see this as any great setback as many of those records weren't available to anyone when America was Great in the early 50s

People trust records too much these days for some reason, especially in a nation created from mostly genetically transported indentured servants...
