Radio: Country vs. Christian

So, Christmas eve day, I had the radio on in the tractor while feeding. The classic country station I usually listen to. They were playing Christmas songs about the birth of Jesus, peace on earth, good will toward men, spending time with family, etc.

Got into the pickup and it was tuned to Christian talk radio. The topic was how Trump has been kind of a disappointment because he hasn't killed enough people. Now, to make matters worse, he's pulling our military out of Syria and won't be terrorizing those people any more. How can he do this? Doesn't he know God want us to kill people?

The difference was striking.

PS, today there was news about a bombing in Giza, Egypt. The Minnesota Nice (code for passive aggressive) host said this is why Trump needs to be more aggressive with Muslims, because they are threatening Israel. WTF? A bombing in Egypt is supposed to be interpreted as an aggressive act against Israel?????

Odds are that the bombing in Egypt was planned by the Israeli’s. They merely got raghead group XYZ to do it... I guess what the talking head was saying was if Trump was aggressive enough, Israel didn’t have to be... They wouldn’t have had to plan this attack if Trump had carpet bombed Giza at a regular basis.

My last visit to a 501(c)(3) "church" service - over a decade ago - was when they displayed machines of killing (F-15 Strike Eagles) on the screen at the front of the sanctuary to celebrate Independence Day.

The only time I listen to (((radio))) is if there is a local real emergency (flood, fire, etc.). Otherwise, I prefer the silence that allows me to think.

All the radio programming (term applicable for all dictionary meanings) is done at central locations now. Different frequencies masquerading as independent stations play the same programming as other "stations" 95% of the time. The only exceptions are for the emergencies, cited above. Over 15 years ago, I noted how radio stations in Sacramento would play the same songs in the same hours, and, soon after, at the same times. I would breeze through the stations to avoid the latest poop "music" (((chart-topper))). That was the beginning of the end of my listenership.

I've never been able to get into Coast to Coast, largely because they peddle outright fiction amongst the gems of fact. If people enjoy it, so be it...but it wouldn't be allowed on the air as extensively as it is if it didn't serve (((Their))) purposes.

it shoots a lot of blanks....then you'll get a chemtrail guy....or a globalist warming denier. ground zero shoots a higher percentage of decent shows these days. they play it at 2200, coast to coast at 2400. i'm glad it's not the other way around
