I found it funny to read about the poor “tormented” Jews, in the article, that recently had immigrated to Iceland, and how they didn’t dare to report to authorities that they were Jews because of Nazi’s in Germany in the 30’s, who wrote “Jude” in passports. I doubt the Icelandic state keeps tabs on ethnicity and religion. How they were forced to celebrate Rosh Hashana in a “drab conference room” at a Hotel in Reykjavik. Until this year they didn’t even have a Rabbi, so I guess religious genital mutilations were not performed at all...

this morning I was on a stolt ship talking with the chief officer from Latvia. I asked about the refugee situation. he said they got a few hundred. refugees didn't like it there, so they left. he cited lack of welfare, cold weather. he also said germany is wrecked

and that Latvia has strong border security at their russian border, but can travel freely between the eu countries they border

they picked up 200 refugees from the ocean and dropped them off at malta. he said they paid $1,000 each to be on that boat to be 'rescued'. most of them had family and friends they were joining in europe

iceland has 343, 500 people. almost everyone is an alcoholic. i read if you dont drink then dont go to iceland. islam doesnt like drinking. dont know how this will pan out. hopefully the cold scares them away!
