I didn't follow the link but reading your post made me wonder about surrogacy, so I researched a little. It seems that a fertilized egg from another couple can be brought full term in a donor womb. Given this fact, why would extremely rich women not avail themselves of this option? Why wear out their own body when they can hire or force another woman to bring their own progeny full term? I can even envision large farms, where lower class women a kept as surrogate mothers for the rich.
