There's had a project there called ZeroChan for a while. I used to hang out there for a bit a couple years ago.

Honestly the main reason the government hasn't outright come after the Chans yet is they are terrified the community will all go to the Dark Web since there they can't easily be monitored or setup. It's also harder for Normies to follow whats going on (journos) and Glow-In-The-Dark Niggers can't Fed Post as easily.
