That didn’t take long.

Greta Thunberg, the angry young climatologist making headlines all over the world, has “won” 1 million Swedish kronor ($103,000) for her angry crusade to stop global warming.

The 16-year-old is among four people named as the winners of a Right Livelihood Award, also called the “Alternative Nobel Prize.”

“We honour and support courageous people solving global problems,” says their website. What problem Thunberg has “solved” is unclear.

“Thunberg is the powerful voice of a young generation that will have to bear the consequences of today’s political failure to stop climate change. Her resolve to not put up with the looming climate disaster has inspired millions of peers to also raise their voices and demand immediate climate action,” says the site.

Thunberg is quoted in the award announcement:

“I’m deeply grateful for being one of the recipients of this great honour. But of course, whenever I receive an award, it is not me who is the winner. I am part of a global movement of school children, youth and adults of all ages who have decided to act in defence of our living planet. I share this award with them. The Right Livelihood Award is a huge recognition for Fridays For Future and the climate strike movement. Thank you so very much!”

An award ceremony is planned in Stockholm on Dec. 4, six days before the Nobel prizes are handed out, but Thunberg will be in Chile for a climate summit so likely won’t attend.

Thunberg’s campaign to save the world began in August 2018, when she began protesting one day a week outside Sweden’s parliament. She arrived in New York last month after a two-week journey by yacht (she refuses to fly).

In her address on Monday at the United Nations, Thunberg said: “This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean. Yet you have come to us young people for hope. How dare you? ‘You have stolen my dreams, my childhood with your empty words.

“Yet I’m one of the lucky ones. People are suffering, people are dying, entire ecosystems are collapsing, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you?! The eyes of future generations are on you and if you choose to fail us I say we will never forgive you. We will not let you get away with this.”

But now, it looks like Thunberg’s yacht has come in.

I really do despise her message, but what she said was that if we can afford to bail out the banks, we can also afford to save the world from CO2 “destruction”. I would say that history will show that we couldn’t afford either, but most people will not be able to work that out. What is clear is that the banker bailout favored the very people who now are behind the global climate fascist movement. The climate fascists purpose is to enslave humanity and Greta Thunberg is an expert actor in getting people to beg for enslavement. Give up nutritious food like meat, give up traveling, give up material possessions, stop having children. In essence stop living life and you may save the planet. Even if it would be true that CO2 emitted by us is a serious greenhouse gas and the main reason the earth gotten hotter the last 150 years (every serious evidence would actually indicate that it is to a large part a natural variation, due to cloud cover change related to ionizing cosmic radiation), it would actually be good for life on the planet, warmer temperatures especially around the poles together with increased CO2=plant food is making life greener on earth and more animal life could be supported, and I am sure humanity could thrive on it if we go with the flow. The catastrophic climate change that Greta is parroting and create panic in amongst her fellow ignorant teenagers and a lot of older dimwits, is not going to happen. How do we know? Because CO2 levels were much higher millions of years ago, and it never was associated with any catastrophic climate crisis that led to an extinction event. Sure species on earth are affected by human actions and some can’t handle the pressure our change of the environment cause and go extinct, probably at a faster rate now than before, but calling it an extinction event?

Come on it is an insult to extinction events... The force of the asteroid that hit earth and wiped out the dinosaurs was recently calculated at 10 Billion large atomic bombs. The highest life forms that survived that impact was tiny rat like mammals living underground, our ancestors. Then you have events like the eruption of the Yellowstone super volcano erupting every 600,000 years or so (we should be up to one new within the next 100k years), which pretty much wiped out any higher life forms in North America. And then you have the ice ages interspersed by short periods of relative warmth (which we currently are in) which puts significant evolutionary pressures on animals and plants. The mammoths for instance the last ones pretty much froze to death on the spot at a sudden cooling event some 20,000 years ago. And then you have medium sized disasters like the Krakatoa volcano eruption in 1883, the 2004 or 2011 tsunami earthquakes, and the Tonguska asteroid in Siberia in 1908 which hits earth with forces approaching the nuclear arsenal of the world. But still not causing any extinction in any significant manner.

Perhaps it would be better to spend some resources preparing for these events which will inevitably come again, rather than creating massive panic among children and spend trillions of dollars on something which if true most likely would be a good thing for life on earth, but I suspect it isn’t true, and meanwhile pay for this with a massive reduction in standard of living and subsequent many lives lost especially among the poorest.

We are not as powerful as we think we are, whatever we can do to Mother Nature, is only a minute fraction of what just happens from time to time with regularity as natural events. I doubt we could even extinguish humanity ourselves even if we tried our hardest. LOL

Thunberg, a 16-year-old from Sweden, embarked in the racing sailboat Malizia II from Plymouth in the United Kingdom two weeks ago on the trip to the U.S. to attend the United Nations Climate Action Summit, which is scheduled to take place in September at the U.N.’s headquarters in New York.
After disembarking from the vessel at a Manhattan marina, Thunberg was greeted by a crowd of supporters, including a group of fellow high school students carrying homemade signs. The students broke into chants as the sailboat slowly pulled into the marina in Lower Manhattan, including “Sea levels are rising and so are we!” and “There is no Planet B!”

Thunberg seemed a little weary from her journey, but spoke forcefully about climate change. While she doesn’t expect everyone to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a boat like she did, she said that she believes it’s time for people to come together to fight climate change.
“The climate and ecological crisis is a global crisis and the biggest crisis humanity has ever faced,” she said shortly after she stepped on shore. “And if we don’t manage to work together and to cooperate… then we will fail.”
Thunberg said that while she’s hoping to spread the word about climate change, one person isn’t the primary focus of her message––President Donald Trump.

“My message for him is just listen to the science, and he obviously doesn’t do that. As I always say to this question, if no one has been able to convince him about the climate crisis, the urgency, why should I be able to do that?” Thunberg said.
Thunberg launched her campaign (https://time.com/collection/100-most-influential-people-2019/5567758/greta-thunberg/) for action on climate change just last August, when she sat outside of the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm holding a sign inscribed with the phrase, “Skolstrejk för Klimatet” (School Strike for Climate). In the year since, she helped to organize a March 15 strike believed to have been joined by 1.6 million people (https://time.com/collection-post/5584902/greta-thunberg-next-generation-leaders/) in 133 countries; met with world leaders, including Pope Francis; and was nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.

Thunberg has drawn attention to the greenhouse gas emissions caused by air travel. The Malizia II is a 60-foot vessel is designed to be emission-free, and is equipped with solar panels, hydro-generators and an onboard lab for measuring CO2 levels and other information about the surface of the ocean.
The teen set sail two weeks ago with a small group, including her father, Svante Thunberg, and co-skippers Pierre Casiraghi––grandson of Rainier III, Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly––and professional sailor Boris Herrmann, who has travelled around the world three times and made “countless” journeys across the Atlantic, according to Herrmann’s website (https://www.borisherrmannracing.com/news/frequently-asked-questions-on-the-transat-with-greta-thunberg/).
As the vessel was designed for racing, it was built for speed––but not comfort. Herrmann’s website (https://www.borisherrmannracing.com/news/frequently-asked-questions-on-the-transat-with-greta-thunberg/) acknowledges that the boat lacks many amenities, including cooking facilities, a toilet and a shower, although “comfortable mattresses” were added for Thunberg’s voyage.
Several young people said that they had first learned about Thunberg from YouTube, but had been motivated to act because they’ve learned how climate change is impacting people around the world.
Olivia Wohlgemuth, a 16-year-old student at LaGuardia High School, tells TIME that while she’s worried about the future, protesting to raise awareness gives her hope.
“I always feel so hopeful at protests. Climate change can be so bleak and action can be an antidote to that,” Wohlgemuth said.

Several teenagers, including 15-year-old Dwight School student Alessandro Dal Bon, said that Thunberg had been the inspiration for them to get involved with climate activism.
“She’s not afraid of anyone. She’s not afraid of the politicians, she’s not afraid of the businessmen. She just wants to get her message out there. And she’s willing to do anything for that. She’s willing to cross the Atlantic Ocean for 15 days on a small boat to do that. That just shows you how determined she is,” Dal Bon says.
Thunberg thanked the sailboat’s team and said that the trip had been “surprisingly good,” noting that she hadn’t gotten seasick. She said that she would miss feeling “disconnected” from the world during the journey.
“To just sit, literally sit for hours, and just stare at the ocean not doing anything. That was great. And I’m going to miss that a lot,” Thunberg said. “And of course, to be in this wilderness, the ocean, and to see the beauty of it. “

Rich and famous “super-emitters” are such constant travelers they could also be encouraging others to follow in their slipstream by boasting of their private jet-setting habits on social media, researchers found.

Topping the list of celebrity greenhouse gas super-emitters is Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, with a whopping carbon footprint of more than 1,600 tons of CO2.

This is built in part on his regular attendance at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, with other members of the globalist elite.

Publishing their findings in the journal Annals of Tourism Research, researchers trawled through the celebrities’ Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts and media reports to ascertain whether they flew privately or commercially.

Steffan Gossling, the lead author, said the emergence of the concept of flygskam, which is Swedish for “flight shame”, had prompted more questions about the impact of frequent flyers.

He called on governments to “stem the growing class of very affluent people who contribute very significantly to emissions and encourage everyone else to aspire to such damaging lifestyles”.

The study added: “Scheduled air traffic, even though twice as energy-intense in business/first class, requires only a fraction of the energy consumed by private jets.”

Last month Breitbart News reported producer Gavin Polone similarly taking Hollywood bigshots to task over their addiction to private jet travel. He said celebrities and studio executives are guilty of hypocrisy when they promote climate change activism while refusing to fly commercial.

Polone, who produced the recent movie A Dog’s Journey as well as HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, wrote in a column for The Hollywood Reporter saying the entertainment industry is undercutting its own climate change message by relying on the convenience and privacy that these planes afford.

“Nothing is more undermining to the ‘stop climate change’ message than accusations of hypocrisy against the most prominent advocates for environmental responsibility,” Polone wrote.

The article featured photographs of noted environmental and climate change activist Leonardo DiCaprio disembarking from a private jet. Other photos show stars Katy Perry and Dwayne Johnson using private planes.

Hollywood is not alone in its addiction to constant air travel while lecturing others to stay at home.

Members of the British Royal family have also been accused of hypocrisy this past summer, with Prince Harry drawing publicity when he flew to Amsterdam to caution holidaymakers and tourism chiefs about the damage being done to the environment by frequent flyers.

One crisp winter morning in Sweden, a cute little girl named Greta woke up to a perfect world, one where there were no petroleum products ruining the earth. She tossed aside her cotton sheet and wool blanket and stepped out onto a dirt floor covered with willow bark that had been pulverized with rocks. “What’s this?” she asked.

“Pulverized willow bark,” replied her fairy godmother.

“What happened to the carpet?” she asked.

“The carpet was nylon, which is made from butadiene and hydrogen cyanide, both made from petroleum,” came the response.

Greta smiled, acknowledging that adjustments are necessary to save the planet, and moved to the sink to brush her teeth where instead of a toothbrush, she found a willow, mangled on one end to expose wood fibre bristles.

“Your old toothbrush?” noted her godmother, “Also nylon.”

“Where’s the water?” asked Greta.

“Down the road in the canal,” replied her godmother, ‘Just make sure you avoid water with cholera in it”

“Why’s there no running water?” Greta asked, becoming a little peevish.

“Well,” said her godmother, who happened to teach engineering at MIT, “Where do we begin?” There followed a long monologue about how sink valves need elastomer seats and how copper pipes contain copper, which has to be mined and how it’s impossible to make all-electric earth-moving equipment with no gear lubrication or tires and how ore has to be smelted to a make metal, and that’s tough to do with only electricity as a source of heat, and even if you use only electricity, the wires need insulation, which is petroleum-based, and though most of Sweden’s energy is produced in an environmentally friendly way because of hydro and nuclear, if you do a mass and energy balance around the whole system, you still need lots of petroleum products like lubricants and nylon and rubber for tires and asphalt for filling potholes and wax and iPhone plastic and elastic to hold your underwear up while operating a copper smelting furnace and . . .
“What’s for breakfast?” interjected Greta, whose head was hurting.

“Fresh, range-fed chicken eggs,” replied her godmother. “Raw.”

“How so, raw?” inquired Greta.

“Well, . . .” And once again, Greta was told about the need for petroleum products like transformer oil and scores of petroleum products essential for producing metals for frying pans and in the end was educated about how you can’t have a petroleum-free world and then cook eggs. Unless you rip your front fence up and start a fire and carefully cook your egg in an orange peel like you do in Boy Scouts. Not that you can find oranges in Sweden anymore.

“But I want poached eggs like my Aunt Tilda makes,” lamented Greta.

“Tilda died this morning,” the godmother explained. “Bacterial pneumonia.”

“What?!” interjected Greta. “No one dies of bacterial pneumonia! We have penicillin.”

“Not anymore,” explained godmother “The production of penicillin requires chemical extraction using isobutyl acetate, which, if you know your organic chemistry, is petroleum-based. Lots of people are dying, which is problematic because there’s not any easy way of disposing of the bodies since backhoes need hydraulic oil and crematoriums can’t really burn many bodies using as fuel Swedish fences and furniture, which are rapidly disappearing – being used on the black market for roasting eggs and staying warm.”

This represents only a fraction of Greta’s day, a day without microphones to exclaim into and a day without much food, and a day without carbon-fibre boats to sail in, but a day that will save the planet.

Tune in tomorrow when Greta needs a root canal and learns how Novocain is synthesized.
