Those are emergency measures, we’ve just gotten used to the sirens.

The Fed & banking system knows what is blowing up under the surface; they just have the means to mask it.

For now.

Hmm... Wonder if the rumors of Trumps end the Fed has roots? Wasn't following this one.

I am leaning more everyday, to the idea that they can keep kicking the can down the road 'almost' as long as they want. They have many tricks to make it look like the failures of the system are due to certain 'tweakable' deficiencies or localized events instead of the systemic failure they truly are. The attempt at an end-run around SWIFT and gold reservation by BRICS countries may or may not be part of their game. Are they in control of these efforts too? Who of us can say? They do set-up and control even the opposition to themselves. One thing we do know is that they have carefully considered every scenario far ahead of what we can, because they are in the driver's seat. This doesn't mean that kicking the can down the road will have any semblance to normalcy however. The road itself will become so degraded that kicking the can will become an act of grotesque absurdity.

An engineered decline methinks.

"Massive... Huge... Largest Ever": Fed Will Flood Market With Gargantuan $500 Billion In Liquidity To Avoid Year-End Repo Crisis

Do it Powell! +50 billion per week in 'temporary,' 'not QE' QE by Christmas! You can do it! Please, pretty please? Personally I never thought I could become a billionaire - but at this rate of monetary inflation maybe I'll get the chance! Of course bananas will likely cost $120,000 each at that point (wait... wasn't that the price last week somewhere in Miami?) but at least I'll be a billionaire - we'll all be billionaires, trillionaires, or maybe even quadrillionaires one day (when the Fed is printing 500 trillion an hour to keep zombie banks from causing a financial crisis - we wouldn't want a financial crisis now would we?).
