Ouch.
If my dog did that to me it'd be dead in a matter of seconds, in fact one bite me and it wasn't nearly as severe. An hour later I was hauling his dead ass back from the emergency vet clinic (I had prearranged his offing with my vet because we expected it to happen, it was a 1.5 y.o. Doberman male I had recover from a moron). It was also a littermate to GoD's badass Dobe Enzo (bad ass because GoD trained him that way).
Check it out, GoD had zero prior experience training dogs, and yet you will note there is no equipment on his dog Enzo in this video, only the gag item on his back, yet with all that high drive GoD had him under complete control using NO corrections while doing the bitework. Great job GoD!

The remedy is don't get a dog you don't completely understand the temperament of. I have a eight month old puppy I call The Terrorist (she's not a Doberman). She is Hell on wheels, does not like being told no, does not like being corrected, does not like hands on her rear end or being picked up (she startes biting) wants to fight me often, has shown me extreme aggression when very young to the point of being a concern (at 8 weeks old she was thinking she was going to kill a couple of my adult Dobe females). Plus she keeps digging up the yard despite getting hit with the shock collar on high many times (she barks at the 'demon' that's in the yard biting her, then goes right back to her destruction). She's everything I've been looking for, she will fight to the death, nothing impresses her, and when she gets pissed off she's REALLY pissed off. When out in public she needs no socialization as she's a natural slut and will go teats up for anyone at anytime. It's been a real learning curve but we're coming along. Sometimes I just wanna kill her. I've been thinking about changing her name to Pita (pain in the ass). Right now she's raising hell to go outside (to engage in more destruction).

I did not realize what a task this was. When the breeder said on a video that he rates dogs on aggression/drive on a 1-10 scale then breeds for the 5-7 range on the breed he specializes in I took note and told him "Send me a female that's a 7!" When he picked her for me I asked him to describe her temperament and he said, "Friendly, outgoing, not extreme." That was all. After having her for a couple of weeks I'm thinking, "If this is not extreme I don't want to know what extreme is!" Despite being heavily sedated from her flight* (someone carried on a passenger flight) the very first thing she did when my friend took her out of her soft crate was wag her tail when she saw me.
*she used to get very pissed off when she didn't get her way (she was raising so much hell they missed flight) but I've been able to train a lot of that out of her

She sounds aggravated.
Not at all aggravated, just normal behavior for this breed, as I'm finding out.
Nothing escapes her, she hears and sees everything. She owns the yard, better believe it's her fucking yard.

Just don't bring over the grandkids. I'll take the cat.

The thing is this puppy LOVES people to the point I'm concerned she won't protect when the time comes. Taking her to a trainer for protection work to wake her up.
