You can't fish in Illinois now unless you own the water. Don't know about rivers. No bank fishing either.

WTF. Is this recent as in part of the lockdown? If so, nothing that drastic is happening in CA. I'm going fishing tomorrow morning on the beach. Our big season for the boats starts on April 1, then salmon on April 6.

This was pre lock down on Wednesday when our tub of lard guv closed all state parks. A friend of mine with his boy got were bank fishing and got kicked off by DNR. DNR guy was just doing his job. (wasn't an asshole about it) They posted signs for the closing until further notice.

Wow. I wasn't sure to take your post seriously, thought you might be effing with me. I see I am wrong. Taking away a man's way to provide, as in fishing, is something to take seriously.

As far as I know in CA, our state parks are open for hiking and fishing. Locally, our commercial fleet here is a necessary business (food production). My neighbor, commercial boat, came in yesterday and gave me some fresh black cod and crab. I don't think any goons in .gov are going to stop us from fishing here.
