"Alexa" doesn't know anything, all it does is quickly do a web search and after processing through various algorithms it speaks out a summary answer. My guess is this: because the recent talk about this being a lab-leaked pathogen, lots of trending news articles are discussing it, and Alexa likely picked up on some trending language/reports discussing the possibility that the Chinese government leaking it, and there you go.
