@realDonaldTrump (https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etwe etembed%7Ctwterm%5E1341061088729845765%7Ctwgr%5E%7 Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthedonald.win%2Fp%2F11RNjy5S hX%2Ftrump-signs-eo-banning-brutalist%2Fc%2F) has signed an executive order prohibiting new federal buildings from being built in anything other than Neoclassical, Georgian, Federal, Greek Revival, Beaux-Arts, or Art Deco styles.

One step way from degeneracy towards beauty.

Humanity used to know how important architecture was and I'm glad thats coming back.

From the Communist Goals read into Congressional Record in 1963 (!!):

Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms."

Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

If you've never read that list, you should, and ponder where we're at almost 60 years on. It's sobering.

Good on Trump. Hopefully a Democrat won't satanically reflexively tear it up and sign a new brutalist only architecture bill next year.

Even before I was old enough to 'care' about politics as a kid I could appreciate the beauty in older construction and landscaping compared to the new ugly not good for humans buildings I saw going up.

In my town (one of the older settlements in the area) town council and at least one Jew have destroyed all the large heritage brick and timbered institutional and industrial buildings over the last 15 or so years that would have revitalized the town centre if they were redeveloped and renovated.

Not to make money building condos as I saw happen to the historical beauty in the city I used to live in, but they are now empty gravel lots. Brutal Sick Corporate Nowhere Commie Boomers.
