Saw somewhere on twitter there were Trump supporters at the airport who now maybe cannot fly because they are on the no fly list and possibly being called "domestic terrorists"---guy was breaking down about what was happening to him (I forget where I saw that)

Two FBI agents just showed up at my door asking about my 17-year old son being at the Capitol. My wife and I gave them an earful. An “anonymous” tip (probably from some lefty friend of his) said he was inside the building. He wasn’t. I told them he was with me and my wife and that we were abiding by our civil rights to peacefully assemble outside of the Capitol. I said I could give them other witnesses (they refused, just said they were following up on the tip).

I then lectured them about how dangerous this situation is, that they are federal police showing up at the door of an American because of their political beliefs. I told them that trust has completed eroded in the FBI. I asked them, “Do you have kids?” One agent said, “I have five.” Then I said, “As a father, do you understand how dangerous this situation is? Someone who doesn’t like your son or daughter could ‘rat’ on them and have the police knock on their door for thought crimes.”

Eventually the two agents admitted they thought this was BS and they didn’t even want to waste their time and effort on this. Entire conversation took about 20 minutes, but I gave them a piece of my mind. My wife was very upset and they could tell and they kept apologizing.

I also told them that their first assignment should be to interview whomever is making the allegation. If it is anonymous, track the IP. They said they needed a warrant to do that. But they admitted that SHOULD be the first step.

I told them they were not going to talk to my son. I told them, “I should not even been talking to you after the way we’ve seen how the FBI has changed 302s.” I said, “I am not directing this at you two personally, but trust in the FBI is gone and I probably shouldn’t even be talking to you. My first instinct is to get a lawyer, that’s how far trust in the FBI has fallen.”

Cops tell you that same advice. At the very least record all conversations with any of them.

I wish there was a stickied post, or over on the side somewhere reflecting what ShipWreckedCrew (RedState – former AUSA in private practice) and others have advised about speaking to the FBI. Everyone needs to understand the real danger in it. It’s incredibly dangerous, especially at this time. The FBI is the U.S. version of the K.G.B. Nobody should ever speak to them without at least one attorney present, and making your own recording of the conversation. You are inviting disaster if an FBI agent shows up at your door and you engage in any conversation with them other than asking for their contact information and declining to speak with them. If there’s one thing the last 4 years (and really the last 25+ years) has proven – it’s that the FBI is not law enforcement in the sense most citizens understand it. They are a political enforcement arm of the democrat party, used to cover up corruption and silence dissent.

So, being humble, private, peaceful, and quiet = "on a list as a problem" with the FBI. Wonderful. We need to seek attention to not get attention apparently.

Couple points to add, from a witness who was very close to the ‘line’ at different areas of the building NO, I didn’t go inside.


Yes, there was a small segment of protestors early in the day dressed in ‘battle gear’…chest rigs, helmets, knee pads, etc. However, it was my opinion at the time (and remains so), that mostly all of those people were dressed in preparation to CONFRONT antifa, not join them. Just sayin’, not everyone in ‘battle gear’ were the enemy…
Yes, there indeed were several agitators urging people to “come forward!”, by shouting, & bullhorn. Bullhorns were strategically located at ‘high points’. One in particular was from the center (camera) scaffold, and he could be heard (early on) almost as far away as the reflection pool to the west. Another bullhorn was situated just above the center gallery, and the female agitating thru that one was actually shouting OVER the crowd as we sung the National Anthem. THAT told me something about her intentions being nefarious…
Yes, there were people requesting for ‘things’ to be passed forward. One was “pepper spray”. Another was a 12′ orange work ladder, that was right next to me. I did NOT touch that ladder, and everyone else was hesitant to. But, after a minute or two of SCREAMING for the ladder, someone did grab it, and others joined in to hoist it upward & toward the upper gallery…
Yes, there were people requesting for ‘bodies’ to come “hold the line”. Believe it or not, young females were the ones urging “we need MEN up here!”, likely playing on the possiblilty for gentlemen to favor chivalry, over reason. That struck me as ODD…
Yes, I heard other things close to ‘the line’ that disturbed me. To the point, I will not even share them. Suffice to say, there was a BAD vibe in two specific spots, that caused me to exfil from both those areas. I was drawn to these spots out of curiosity, not mischief. And noted other peaceful patriots coming & going once they realized they were NOT in friendly company…
Yes, I did encounter some young men w/packs, helmets & eyepro PUSHING thru the crowd. This was ODD, as most everyone else was extremely courteous & even helpful of their fellow patriots when navigating the gallery/scaffolds, etc…
Yes, I did encounter a wild eyed person, screaming that “they killed my friend!!!”. He gave off a very bad vibe, not genuine at all. A fellow patriot close by shared my skeptism…
One thing I did not see reported, was that someone who’d climbed up on the upper gallery (early on) was blasting off a fire extinguisher to create a dramatic smoke effect across the gallery. The yellow-ish color of an ABC extinguisher is easy to recognize & I wondered what kinda dummy would leave one where it could be grabbed?
Lastly, after leaving near dark, the north & east lines of the building were quite calm. To the point where I could actually approach & talk with shielded LEO. By that time, it had become clear to me that some on the crowd were NOT there for the right reason. Actually sat & prayed for their safety & that of the crowd who’d yet to leave the grounds…

Just a few observations from the 6th. The full picture of the building breach & organized effort was not known to me at the time, as so much was happening at once and there was no phone service. Thankfully, instincts were good enough to keep clear of trouble when the ‘vibe’ of certain people was contrary to that of the amazingly positive feeling from the day, as a whole. The contrast was palpable…
After digesting what happened, I’m actually MORE proud of the Patriots who’d been ‘called’ to DC on the 6th. The evil ones were banking on our ‘cold anger’ going hot & being caught up in the orchestrated attack. Obviously, some overzealous people DID enter the building. However, the vast majority of the peaceful crowd wanted nothing to do with any mischief, and even thwarted efforts to cause damage/harm. So many vids show this! Beyond that, the fact that some dressed as LEO actually opened gates & doors & ESCORTED people INSIDE is further proof of pre-meditation to provoke confrontation. An INVITATION is not insurrection…

The Capitol Police made repeated requests for the National Guard, but the Sergeant at Arms claimed that it would be “bad optics.” The Sergeant at Arms reports or coordinates with Nancy Pelosi.
