I think at some point in the next couple of years I'm going to have to move to FL--I feel like my life is in extreme danger by living in a blue state. Everyone is completely brainwashed here--I've even seen some triple masked people.

How did we get from '15 days to flatten the curve' to a coerced-at-best-forced-at-worst vaccine passport? The premise of a vaccine ID to reopen misses the point that nearly 20 states (https://www.aier.org/article/16-states-are-now-following-the-science/) are already in various stages of reopening.

Visions of a hunger games scenario are leaping from fiction to a possible future as society continues to be 'reimagined' through the vertical consolidation of power offered by Covid's steamrolling of society.

Vaccine passports, or whatever we're calling them this week, have only been rolled out in New York...so far. Already, however, a growing number of state lawmakers across America are moving to ban their use through various legislative efforts.

Finding political backbone and drawing lines in the sand, it appears that the vaccine passport is just a step too far for some political leaders.

Front of the pack is Florida's governor Ron DeSantis who, when asked by reporters just a few short weeks ago if he'll require proof of vaccination for his state's residents to reenter society, had this to say:
"It's a very, very bad idea...to require someone to show some type of proof of vaccination is completely unacceptable. It's not something we are going to support here in any way."
DeSantis backed up his words by signing an executive order (https://html2-f.scribdassets.com/22xw9uhgao8jtaw3/images/1-8d3b61553f.jpg) on Friday. The order states that:
"vaccine passports, vaccine passes, or other standardized documentation for the purpose of certifying an individual's Covid vaccination status to a third party" shall not be permitted. Such actions are "necessary to protect the fundamental rights and privacies of Floridians and the free flow of commerce within the state." Concerns such passports would "create two classes of citizens," and "reduce individual freedom and will harm patient privacy."
Other states and government representatives are following in a similar spirit.

Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff said:
"We have constitutional rights and health privacy laws for a reason. They should not cease to exist in a time of crisis. These passports may start with Covid-19, but where will they end? We have concerns about using taxpayer money to generate a system that will now be, possibly, in the hands of mega-tech organizations who've already had problems with getting hacked and security issues."
Several Wisconsin Republican legislators have a bill to prohibit government from requiring a vaccine passport, calling them discriminatory reports WISN 12 (https://www.wisn.com/article/some-wisconsin-lawmakers-want-to-prevent-vaccine-passport/36018018#). The bill banning any restrictions on people based on their vaccine status is still being circulated for co-sponsors but could be introduced in the Legislature later this month.

Ohio State Al Cutrona announced he plans to introduce legislation that would prohibit vaccine passports being mandated by local or state governments. What were the motivations for such legislation?
"This bill essentially is going to reign in the government and prevent them from overreaching and overstepping like we've seen time and time again in the last year."
Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts said Wednesday that the state will not participate in any "vaccine passport program" reports (https://journalstar.com/news/state-and-regional/govt-and-politics/ricketts-nebraska-will-not-participate-in-any-vaccine-passport-program/article_541b5bc2-0c20-562c-83c2-23ff454de65c.html) the local Lincoln Star Journal.
"This concept violates two central tenets of the American system: freedom of movement and health care privacy. Nebraska will take any necessary action to protect the private health information of our citizens and the freedoms we cherish."
Representative Robert Spendlove sponsored House Bill 308 earlier this year which prohibits a governmental entity — including state agencies, local governments, and public schools — from requiring, either "directly or indirectly," that an individual receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The bill has since been signed into law by Utah Governor Spencer Cox. In short, Utah is opting out of any "vaccine passport" programs; no such document or database can be utilized as a condition of legal commerce or intrastate travel in the state, writes (https://libertas.org/personal-freedom/utah-will-not-require-covid-19-vaccine-passports/) The Libertas Institute.

Mississippi, an early state along with Texas to allow its citizens to take their masks off, has signaled opposition to the vaccine passport idea. Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, when asked (https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/04/politics/tate-reeves-vaccine-passports-cnntv/index.html) about the possible use of the passports in Mississippi, stated:
"I don't support vaccine passports. I don't think it's necessary and I don't think it's a good thing to do in America."
The Arkansas Legislature is currently hearing a bill that would preempt any effort by the governments to require vaccine passports and would bar their use to dictate "entry, travel, education, employment or services."

Introduced in the House on March 29th, Montana's HB 702 (https://leg.mt.gov/bills/2021/HB0799//HB0702_1.pdf) seeks to bar any discrimination based on vaccination status while prohibiting immunity passports.

In addition, South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace, Reps. Joe Wilson, Ralph Norman, Jeff Duncan, and William R. Timmons, IV recently joined (https://mace.house.gov/media/press-releases/rep-mace-joins-gov-mcmaster-opposition-vaccine-passports) state Gov. Henry McMaster in opposition to vaccine passports.

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene went a step further invoking the Book of Revelations:
Congresswoman Greene authored the The We Will Not Comply Act in an effort to ban the implementation of vaccine passports.

The NY Post Editorial Board released a piece titled 'Vaccine passports' just aren't worth the trouble (https://nypost.com/2021/04/03/vaccine-passports-just-arent-worth-the-trouble/). They state their bottom line as
"...another one of those technocratic ideas that at best comes too late and would be near-impossible to make work well in this nation, just as contact-tracing has essentially failed."
Senior Policy Analyst Jay Stanley (https://www.aclu.org/news/by/jay-stanley/) of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) wrote (https://www.aclu.org/news/privacy-technology/theres-a-lot-that-can-go-wrong-with-vaccine-passports/) that
"We don't oppose in principle the idea of requiring proof of vaccination in certain contexts...given the enormous difficulty of creating a digital passport system, and the compromises and failures that are likely to happen along the way, we are wary about the side effects and long-term consequences it could have."
No matter what your thoughts are on the idea of a centralized system to track the vaccinated, a digital identification identifying individuals based on whether or not they will take an experimental product from a pharmaceutical company appears ripe for abuse.

The primary stakeholders in establishing a vaccine passport have a dismal track record when it comes to trustworthiness, fairness, freedoms and the law. Allowing such power to be centralized in the threefold hands of a Big Pharma-Big Tech-Big Government would very likely turn out to be a historically foolish misstep for America and humanity.

Comment: This refusal to comply is becoming more than a trend. With 20 states onboard, it has become a full-scale movement.

New Kentucky Law Preserves Vaccine Exemptions Even During Pandemic Legislation passed with bipartisan support preserves certain vaccine exemptions, including religious and medical, even if the state mandates vaccines during a pandemic.

By Stephanie Locricchio

https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/kentucky-law-vaccine-exemptions/? (https://childrenshealthdefense.org/authors/stephanie-locricchio/)

(https://childrenshealthdefense.org/authors/stephanie-locricchio/)Kentucky residents will have the right to refuse vaccinations on the basis of religious, medical and conscientiously held beliefs, even during a pandemic, under a bill signed into law March 28, without the signature of Gov. Andy Beshear.
Senate Bill 8 (https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/21rs/sb8.html) was created by Republican Senator Mike Wilson in response to concerns about potential COVID vaccine mandates (https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/vaccine-mandates-an-erosion-of-civil-rights-chd-e-book-available-now/). Kentucky has not yet mandated the vaccines, but a pre existing law allowed the state to mandate vaccines during a pandemic.
Ask Congress to Investigate COVID Origins - Take Action (https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/congress-support-hr-834-prepare-act/)
The Kentucky House of Representatives passed the bill with bi-partisan support, breaking the typical pattern of party line voting on health freedom bills.
Kentucky Medical Freedom Coalition (https://www.kmfc.org/?fbclid=IwAR2DTnPqn8BDpHnPN3JX7-IKowm6fSnNmiBZeqYS0pxnqkEAYrei7NLFfLA) (KMFC), a grassroots organization founded in 2020, has been tirelessly advocating for health freedom. Two of the organization’s officers, Mary Kathryn DeLodder and Bethany Clark, worked with their team to raise awareness on issues and legislation, including Senate Bill 8, that impact health freedom. Together they built relationships with elected officials and the community.
While this bill is a win for Kentucky, there is growing concern all over the country about businesses and employers requiring COVID vaccines (https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/covid-19-vaccine-news/) for employers and customers. DeLodder said the work continues in 2022 to protect employees from mandates, as S.B. 8 (https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/record/21rs/sb8.html) does not apply to Kentucky’s private businesses.
DeLodder and Clark have been doing this work since 2017. They recognized the need for a formal organization and worked with their team to create KMFC. Their work includes educating, empowering and uniting concerned citizens to take action and be part of the medical freedom conversation.
The two women advise other advocates looking for ways to make a difference to understand the makeup of their state legislature, seek out like-minded, like-hearted people and work together to create change.
DeLodder and Clark said this recent win was a result of the collaborative efforts of Kentucky citizens taking action.
A bi-partisan win in Kentucky proves the tide is turning and medical freedom is being honored in many states. Advocates can learn from Kentucky’s and other states’ best practices and build on their momentum.
Now is the time to revisit and initiate conversations with state representatives to ensure that mandates do not become the new normal. It’s not necessary to be part of a formal group to be an advocate — all that’s required is the passion, persistence and perseverance to take daily action.
Here are three actions medical freedom advocates can take to make a difference at the state level:

Initiate/revisit conversations with your state legislators on the topic of medical freedom. Elected officials are in office to address constituents’ concerns. Call your elected officials to express concerns about mandates. Schedule an appointment to meet and foster a relationship with your representative.
Share “good bills” with your local representatives and partner with like-minded legislators to create legislation for your state. Partner across state lines and utilize bill language that’s been successful.
Create community. You are never alone! Find a local group that shares your values and beliefs. Get involved with grassroots advocacy groups and work together to make change. If you are in Kentucky visit Kentucky Medical Freedom Coalition (https://www.kmfc.org/?fbclid=IwAR2DTnPqn8BDpHnPN3JX7-IKowm6fSnNmiBZeqYS0pxnqkEAYrei7NLFfLA) for local news, events and bill updates.

I am thinking that any institution or employer who forces me or you to take an experimental vaccination to participate or work in their establishment would be liable for any resulting harmful consequences.

Looks like Rand Paul also speaking out against the covid passports (I think Marjorie Taylor Greene also spoke out against them and called them the Mark of the Beast)

'Throw away your masks and burn your vaccine passport': Rand Paul

'It's absolutely unconstitutional – not to mention, it's absurd'

https://www.wnd.com/2021/04/throw-away-masks-burn-vaccine-passport-rand-paul/

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, a practicing physician, is urging Americans to throw away their face masks and burn vaccine passports.
"The left has gone completely COVID crazy," the Kentucky Republican says in a new fundraising pitch.

"They want government-enforced shutdowns, mask mandates, school closures, forced vaccines, and now they're talking about a COVID vaccine passport. It's absolutely unconstitutional – not to mention, it's absurd."
The ophthalmologist wrote:

Throughout the COVID crisis, these radicals have embraced theatrics, abandoned science, and the longer it goes on, the more they double down.
The newest power grab comes in the form of an alleged "Vaccine Passport" which would determine whether or not you're "ALLOWED" to engage in your everyday life.
Advertisement - story continues below

Want to go to the store? Show your vaccine card.
Want to go to a restaurant or concert? Did you tell the government what vaccines you've had?
Want to travel? VACCINE PAPERS PLEASE.
This is the slippery slope I warned about and it's exactly what I'm fighting to defeat in Washington. ...
... this passport idea from these hypocrites in Washington is just completely unacceptable.

Let's not forget: these are the same people who are boycotting states like Georgia for implementing common-sense policies like voter ID.
Let me tell you something ... if you think voter ID is racist, but the vaccine passport is just fine, you need some serious help thinking through public policy.
I will never be in favor of this COVID hysteria and I will never support a COVID passport.
It's time to say enough is enough.

I urge everyone to get the vaccine if you need or want it. And then I urge everyone in America to throw away their masks, demand their schools be open, and burn your vaccine passport if they try to give it to you.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Bill To Force Vaccinations “By Any Means Necessary”

https://mypatriotsnetwork.com/patriot/florida-governor-ron-desantis-signs-bill-to-force-vaccinations-by-any-means-necessary/

Are you a fan of Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis?

If so, you might not be by the time you finish reading this post.

This post illustrated why it is important to read more than headlines.

People praise DeSantis for signing a bill banning vaccine passports.

And yet they have no idea that in that same bill, it says the State Health Officer has the power to vaccinate someone by “any means necessary”. Don’t believe me? Read it for yourself! (links to actual bill) Let me repeat it here for you…“If there is no practical method to isolate or quarantine the individual, the State Health Officer may use any means necessary to vaccinate or treat the individual” You can read the full bill yourself here (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/2006/BillText/er/PDF). You can read that part in the image on page 39 of that bill.

What do you think of the Florida governor now? Recall DeSantis campaign, anyone? Let us know your thoughts in a comment below. And please share this with other conservatives you know! Be sure to share this with people you know in Florida too. I’d bet 99% of them have no idea this is in that bill!

https://freeflorida.me/thread/451-law-signed-by-desantis-will-not-prevent-forced-vaccinations/

****UPDATED JUNE 22, 2022**** By Chris Nelson. June 21, 2021. A law signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will not prevent the Florida Department of Health from forcibly vaccinating Florida residents. S.B. 2006 was signed into law by DeSantis on May 3, 2021 and immediately hailed as a major victory by many medical freedom advocates. The law bans so-called "Vaccine Passports" and adds certain restrictions on state and local governments during a declared public health emergency. A little known and little spoken of section of the original statute states: "The state health officer, upon declaration of a public health emergency, may take actions that are necessary to protect the public health." Some of these actions include: "Ordering an individual to be examined, tested, vaccinated, treated, isolated, or quarantined for communicable diseases that have a significant morbidity or mortality and present a severe danger to public health." Those refusing these actions "may be subjected to isolation or quarantine." The most disturbing part is a section beneath which reads, "If the individual poses a danger to the public health, the State Health Officer may subject the individual to isolation or quarantine, if there is no practical method to isolate or quarantine the individual, the State Health Officer may use ANY MEANS NECESSARY to vaccinate or treat the individual." In the mass frenzy to applaud Governor DeSantis for banning Vaccine Passports, this section of the existing law was paid little attention. (Read here: https://www.flsenate.gov/laws/statutes/2018/381.00315) Bottom line, in a declared public health crisis you can be forcibly vaccinated in the State of Florida and SB 2006 does nothing to change this policy. Read SB 2006 in its entirety here: https://www.flsenate.gov/Sessi…021/2006/BillText/er/HTML (https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/2006/BillText/er/HTML).

The last part of the bill from Florida

406.11 Examinations, investigations, and autopsies.—
1160 (1) In any of the following circumstances involving the
1161 death of a human being, the medical examiner of the district in
1162 which the death occurred or the body was found shall determine
1163 the cause of death and certify the death and shall, for that
1164 purpose, make or perform have performed such examinations,
1165 investigations, and autopsies as he or she deems shall deem
1166 necessary or as shall be requested by the state attorney:
1167 (a) When any person dies in this the state :
1168 1. Of criminal violence.
1169 2. By accident.
1170 3. By suicide.
1171 4. Suddenly, when in apparent good health.
1172 5. Unattended by a practicing physician or other recognized
1173 practitioner.
1174 6. In any prison or penal institution.
1175 7. In police custody.
1176 8. In any suspicious or unusual circumstance.
1177 9. By criminal abortion.
1178 10. By poison.
1179 11. By disease constituting a threat to public health.
1180 12. By disease, injury, or toxic agent resulting from
1181 employment.
1182 (b) When a dead body is brought into this <del>the </del>state without
1183 proper medical certification.
1184 (c) When a body is to be cremated, dissected, or buried at
1185 sea.

Notice the strikeout from THE STATE to THIS STATE? You might want to be aware of the distinction because these lawyers know what it means. (Strikethru shows properly in the bill ... I couldn't get it to work here though)

Legislation is written for those in the territorial jurisdiction of THIS STATE ... aka THE FEDERAL ZONE WITHIN THE EXTERIOR BOUNDARY OF THE STATE.

This State is an Alice in Wonderland concept where one pill makes you small and another pill makes you tall.

found this comment:

Hi – there was a discussion late last night on the general thread re: Gov DeSantis signing a bill that had language he may not have seen regarding the allowance of forced vaccinations.

I found the exact bill on the FLA gov website. It appears to me a statute was already in place (likely before DeSantis assumed power), and the bill was merely updated in certain sections marked in green.
https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2021/2006/BillText/er/HTML
The verbiage on forced vaxes appeared to not be changed from the last update when the statute was signed into law, likely beforeDeSantis assumed power. This appears on line 097 in the link above.
Additions to the pre-existing statute were added in green font to prohibit vax passports by businesses and state govt. The verb “may” was used in the language. Refer to line 121 on what appears to be the new verbiage on prohibition of vax passports.

In the document provided in the article that was referenced last night by a commenter, it confirms the verbiage on the vax passport prohibition is new to the pre-existing statute (underlined in the news article’s bill). The reference on forced vax was already pre-existing in the statute, and that DeSantis did not add it as new verbiage nor did he change it.

Hope that clarifies
