Amazing what these people will do when they are told they will go to the US for free healthcare, free food, free homes, free school, free money and they never have to work again.

I always imagined if you were that close to the exhaust of a jet engine it would have force and heat. Guess I was wrong.

On jets such as commercial airliners and military transports the engines are generally high bypass* for fuel economy and noise abatement so there's not much heat being thrown out. The discharge won't be felt up against the fuselage.

*high bypass jet engines move most of the intake air entering the nacelle around the engine with a large fan coupled to the engine, additionally high bypass jet engines don't have afterburners aka re-heat
