Over the past few years Kape Technologies has been acquiring some big VPN companies, such as ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Private Internet Access, Zenmate. Kape also now owns VPN “Review” sites that they use to push their products as the best VPNs, while pretending to be unbiased.

Any info to substantiate that rumor?

I remember something about change in "agreement" within the last year or two.
It was 2020 when people were moving from twatter to Telegram and other zio controled "free" outlets.

Take a look at their team.
A lot of yahoodins.

And the founders are all connected to CERN.

IMO, Protonmail is clearly a honeypot. Among other things, you cannot create an anonymous account from Tor. If you do, it requires that you use a phone number for verification. This is not required if you connect through clearnet. It’s clear that they want something they can link to your identity, whether it’s an IP address/fingerprint or phone.

Maybe it was this.

https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2021/09/protonmail-now-keeps-ip-logs.html
ProtonMail Now Keeps IP Logs After being compelled by a Swiss court to monitor IP logs for a particular user, ProtonMail no (https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2021/09/privacy-focused-protonmail-provided-a-users-ip-address-to-authorities/) longer (https://www.theregister.com/2021/09/07/protonmail_hands_user_ip_address_police/) claims that “we do not keep any IP logs.”
EDITED TO ADD (9/14): This seems to be more complicated. ProtonMail is not yet saying (https://protonvpn.com/support/no-logs-vpn/) that they keep logs. Their privacy policy (https://protonmail.com/privacy-policy) still states that they do not keep logs except in certain circumstances, and outlines those circumstances. And ProtonMail’s warrant canary has an interesting list (https://protonmail.com/blog/transparency-report/) of data orders they have received from various authorities, whether they complied, and why or why not.

Decent thread here. https://hacker-news.news/post/28652978

Yeas and Nays.

Best advice I read...

Email was designed as non-secure. Even if you are encrypted, can you guarantee the recipient is?

Best to assume someone is able to read them.

Came across this. I am unable to get a translation.

Intelligence Agencies Monitor All Digital Communications

I wouldn't say anything online

that I didn't expect some traitorous stiff

from CSIS (Cdn. Sec. Int. Svce) to read.

2013- Canada Spent Nearly One Billion Dollars to monitor its citizens (https://www.henrymakow.com/domestic_spying.html?_ga=2.190104108.688576618.163 3215244-346964864.1627224119)

Someone knew the covid scam was coming down the pike.

Years ago Edward Snowden revealed widespread electronic surveillance by government intelligence agencies. Since then, technology has advanced and governments have become increasingly authoritarian. Nothing typed into a computer or spoken on the phone is private.

As explained here (https://www.the-sun.com/tech/3391800/whatsapp-facebook-gmail-users-warned-hacking-startup/), a company named Paragon has developed a program to hack encrypted communications. The article specifically mentions WhatsApp, Facebook, and Gmail, but it would be naïve to think that only mainstream e-mail and messaging services are vulnerable.

A Paragon spokesman said that "the company would only sell its surveillance products to countries that abide by international norms and respect fundamental rights and freedoms". However, the founders are former Israeli intelligence operatives so you can imagine what sort of countries meet their criteria. Western countries are trampling citizens' rights in any case.

NSO Group, another Israeli company, has developed Pegasus spyware. This technology allows the user to remotely access people's computers to view or download anything stored or done on the computer. Furthermore, it can be used to operate the computer's camera and microphone - you could be sitting in front of an Israeli surveillance device right now and not know it.
