The Politics of It All
It shouldn't have come to a political war — but it has.
TRANSCRIPT
The Christian world and, most especially, the Catholic portion of that world — which is the dominant one — needs to admit we lost the philosophical war with the culture back in the 1960s. As a result, the battle has now shifted to the political arena.
The battle for souls, spiritual warfare, is now firmly encamped in the world of politics. And over the last few weeks that issue, the issue of spiritual warfare, has been emerging as a topic.
Denzel Washington, in a New York Times article, honed in on it, saying, "This is spiritual warfare. So I'm not looking at it from an earthly perspective. If you don't have a spiritual anchor, you'll be easily blown by the wind and you'll be led to depression."
In recent interviews Church Militant conducted, we heard the same theme emerging.
It's becoming almost in vogue to start talking about spiritual warfare in the realm of politics. But, vogue or not, it is absolutely necessary.
Bishops have been hiding behind the supposed 'separation of Church and State.'

The goal of human life is salvation, seeing God face to face — and that reality is not altered by a government or culture's refusal to accept it. For this reason, the role of political leaders is to provide for this ultimate reality. At the very least, they cannot impede the process.
But, having lost the philosophical battle decades ago, the argument over morality has now firmly been ensconced in the world of politics, where it should not be being hashed out — but, nevertheless, is.
Politics, at least as regards morality, has the role of providing for morality's furtherance. Politics does not get to determine what's moral or not. It merely protects morality. And what's moral or not is not up for popular vote by greedy, power-hungry politicians who will permit morality to be blown up so they can hang onto office.
But that is precisely what has happened. The old "your truth, my truth" canard is so corrosive, so destructive, it was never going to exist for any length of time. But what "morality by popular vote" has created is the devastation of a people — the wiping out of logic and a nation descending into Hell.
Tens of millions of babies murdered, anal sex between men glorified, mental illness celebrated and an environment where any sane person witnessing the devastation is forced to accept it politically. For decades, the U.S. bishops have been involved in this evil of destroying a nation, siding with the anti-God political forces way too often — yet, at the same time, hiding behind the idiocy of a supposed "separation of Church and State." The bishops, as a body, have played Catholics, specifically, and the culture at large like a fiddle, pushing an agenda decidedly anti-Catholic for personal profit.
The bishops have played Catholics like a fiddle.

But, like their directly political counterparts, episcopal sociopaths are just as bad — in many cases, even worse.
As the 2022 midterm elections begin to dawn (the Texas primary is less than a month away), faithful Catholics need to understand the locus of the battle has now shifted, and the political arena is now the arena of virtual blood sport.
Why is this so important? It's pretty simple, actually. When a moral civilization (or, at least, one striving for it) loses the philosophical battle, the war then shifts to the political battlefield. If the battle is lost in that arena, then the last remaining battlefield is civil war. There will always be some who will rightly refuse to be subjected to an immoral political authority. They will not offer incense to the gods of sexual deviancy or support the government that takes their money to pay for it.
They will not stand idly by while their children are perverted in classrooms paid for by their taxes. They will not bow down to a force that destroys their borders and undermines their military.
So faithful Catholics and others who claim the mantle "Christian," you have a choice to make: You can wage this war at the ballot box and all that that entails, or you can wage the war in the streets in short order.
But, if you do not fight, you and your children will be forever subjugated — here on earth and in eternity.
