Ok. The idea that bison need a bridge to migrate between Iowa and Illinois is laughable.
While the Mississippi River was wadeable before the Corp of Engineers put in the locks, dams and wing dams 90 years ago the fact remains massive herds of bison don't exist in either Iowa or Illinois.
So since they seem to want to repurpose an old bridge why not make it for pheasants, turtles and mastodons?
