Oregon Imploring People to "Stop Having Kids"

A recent news article caught my attention on the lengths that the anti-life liberals will go to promote their radical agenda. An organization called “StopHavingKids.org” has recently been putting up billboards and signage in Oregon promoting its message. And as you can already guess by the name, its message is antibiblical fearmongering.

One billboard lists the organizational name and a picture of a baby in a circle with a line through it. Another states the depressing mantra, “A lot of humans wish they were never born.” How’s that for an uplifting message? And to make it sadder, on their Instagram page, they label this billboard as “their baby.”

It’s clear that guilt, fear, and alarmism are the primary methods for spreading their propaganda.

But even worse than their billboards are their “protest” signs with such affirming messages as “The world doesn’t need you to continue your bloodlines, genetics, or family name” and “Having kids is far beyond a personal choice.” It’s clear that guilt, fear, and alarmism are the primary methods for spreading their propaganda. But if no one had children, the human race would become extinct. Thus life is ultimately meaningless. It’s all foolishness.

The “About” page of their website further describes their ideology. “Stop Having Kids acknowledges that there is an unconscionable amount of needless suffering, injustice, and death in the world—with birth serving as the catalyst for it all . . . Our goal as a collective liberation movement (humans and nonhumans) is to publicize the often overlooked and misinterpreted antinatalist/vegantinatalist [vegan/antinatalist] ideology and childfree lifestyle through a multi-layer approach.”

So how do these “liberation” ideals stack up against Scripture? Well, Scripture teaches that children are “a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward” (Psalms 127:3). And as for veganism, we need to keep in mind what the Bible says about food. First of all, we are not to judge others by what they eat (Romans 14:2–3 and Colossians 2:16). Right after the flood, God told Noah, “every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything” (Genesis 9:3). And the Apostle Paul (through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) said that “foods that God created [are] to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer (1 Timothy 4:3–5).

They also want you to refrain from having any children at all and want to shame you for your dietary choices.

The culture of death is not content with killing babies in the womb or killing elderly, disabled, or sick people (and Oregon is one of the states that is most “prolific” in euthanasia laws). They also want you to refrain from having any children at all and to shame you for your dietary choices. But contrary to this “yoke of slavery” masked as a “liberation movement,” true liberation is only found in Scripture and in the person of Jesus Christ (John 8:36; Galatians 5:1).

State records show, however, that Stop Having Kids was incorporated in January 2021 by Eric Goldberg, a Portland photographer whose middle name is Dietz.

Not so much "anti-life" when you look at the bigger picture.
Population in the west is still fast increasing with very low and getting lower fertility rates.

Native citizens having kids makes finding housing and employment more difficult and dilutes social handouts for immigrants and invaders.

My old school Catholic Chriustian orientation makes me an outlier in discussing reasons, causes etc.

God wants us to have babies, but under His rules.

Now, that people have gotten the Vax with its targeting of male and female receptor cites reproductive systems, less likely there will be successful conception and pregnancies from here on out.
