When a doctor separates Siamese twins how does he handle the birth certificate issue? He is creating two persons where only one is state sanctioned. Which twin gets the birth certificate?
Does a doctor need a license to separate Siamese twins? After all a minister needs a marriage license to join two people into one. Doesn't it seem obvious that a doctor would need permission from the State to separate one person into two?
