You have to know several things:
A. Your actions are limited in time.
B. You are responsible for everything that happens to you.
C. When someone helps you in any way they do so because it helps them.
D. When someone hurts you in any way refer to (B).
As to (A) this is called the Rule Against Perpetuities. 21 years + 9 months after you lose the ability to enforce your contracts (typically called physical DEATH but could also be civil DEATH) all your actions become a nullity unless the action produces a charitable trust. Governments (State, Local and So Called National) are Trusts. Specifically they are Charitable. If not charitable trusts then they are NOT. They don't exist.
As to (B) with respect to things that actually happen to you (not things you heard about or saw on TV or the movies) if you are not responsible then you are irresponsible. If you are irresponsible you go around blaming others. If you are responsible you take responsibility. Of what you say am I responsible? Of the OBSERVATION that in some fashion you have sustained an injury. Observation is a needed element of any crime. And if you view yourself as the victim of a criminal act then that observation occurred in your own gray matter.
As to (C) without real money why would anyone do anything to help you unless it helps them too? Of course they could be a fiduciary of the Charitable Trust called Government.
As to (D) referring to (B) is a good choice. You probably don't look forward to being the victim of a crime but being responsible is far more important than being helpless and just going along for the ride. Things that your conscious mind dwells on frequently turn out badly. But you are a complex organ that includes both a conscious and subconscious and one thing the conscious gets wrong all the time is when others are blamed (irresponsibility). Consider those things where you would otherwise blame others (irresponsibility) to have been either caused or permitted by your own subconscious (responsible). Now you have absolutely no one to blame but yourself and blaming yourself is irrational. No one should ever place blame on themselves.
Discussion - The conscious seeks to place blame yet you only have the absolute ability to change yourself. You might attempt to change others but won't succeed often and why would you even attempt something that has such a low probability of success. Yet you have a 100% probability of success if you are responsible. The fact is you are the only thing you have such absolute control over. No way am I going to suggest you will know the WHY or WHEREFORE of everything that happens but simply the concept that you are responsible places you in control. Being irresponsible places others in control.
Which would you prefer?
