Militia vote for their leaders. This has come to be known as Democracy. The regular military prefers to run itself on merit and ability. They get better results.

The 2nd amendment is about regulating militia (voting included).

By voting you volunteer for the militia.

The 2nd amendment purports to regulate military by Arms (a Heraldic concept including flags, seals and coats of Arms)

Coats of Arms identify militia members.

Voter ID is a form of Arms the same as a shoulder patch or a rug thrown over your body armor.

I believe so. I rescinded my registered status years ago.

There is an age limit on militia people.

Anything that's 'registered' belongs to the king, this includes registered voters.

I guess you could say the king owns himself.
