I tell cashiers anymore to keep the change. Other than quarters, I have no need. What is 43 cents going to get you?

I What is 43 cents going to get you?
Correct change.

That one reason I don't make purchases in double eagles. Nobody has correct change and I don't give or take credit.

They call this Gresham's Law.

With silver dollars worth about $27 melt. If you monetize silver at spot, copper pennies as legal tender cent pieces (not zinc pennies) should be worth 27 cents in value for purchases.

For the last 25 years my pennies are thrown on the floor in high traffic locations, doorway or ground outside the stores who hand then to me as change. What better way to draw attention to those who have debased our currency? Fools pick them up and cause traffic jams. Others pass them by thinking "yeah, worthless".
They might as well also do away with nickels to make things less complicated.....no they never want to make things less complicated.

Zinc or copper? :DI don't bother checking, I assume they're all zinc nowadays.
Cashier says "Would you like to donate the 4 cents change bla-bla" Me "No" and drop them going out the door.

Trump’s order to ‘rip the waste’ from US budget has finally killed penny production — so will they skyrocket in value now? Here’s what to do with them (https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/personalfinance/trump-s-order-to-rip-the-waste-from-us-budget-has-finally-killed-penny-production-so-will-they-skyrocket-in-value-now-here-s-what-to-do-with-them/ar-AA1JPBtU?ocid=msedgntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=6890d457e6b849f681cd469ac7676107&ei=16)
