A Jan. 6 rioter who was pardoned by President Donald Trump claimed on social media that someone from the president’s team “indirectly” threatened to kill him.

Jacob Anthony Chansley, also known as the “Qanon Shaman,” was pardoned by Trump in January for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. But in a recent social media post, he suggested that Trump’s team sees him as their “pet” and threatened him while he was in Austin, Texas.

The post was first highlighted by MeidasTouch editor-in-chief Ron Filipkowski.

“MAGA hero Q Shaman says someone from the Trump admin visited him in Texas and threatened to kill him because he called out Trump for being a shill for Israel," Filipkowski wrote on social media platform X.

According to Chansley’s post, he said he was approached by someone connected with Trump and accused them of threatening his life in the post on May 28. He said he is no longer cooperating with the Trump administration, citing Trump’s policy on Israel.

“When I was in Austin Texas I was approached by someone from the Trump camp...This person & a few others and I went to get food at a restaurant & converse...In this location this member from the Trump camp INDIRECTLY threatened me...he looked me in the eye...& said something pertaining to the economy & the tarrifs & then he pointed his 2 fingers like a gun at my forehead & said ‘Trump just said let’s shoot the f-ckin hostage and be done with it,’” Chansley wrote in his post.
