I understand Gordon. All you can do is try. There is a "Test" subforum where you can try different features that GSUS offers. The "Test" feature is located in the "Member's Only" section of GSUS. There is also a chat feature called "Tinychat" (located at the bottom of the GSUS forum page) where posters can chat just like they used to on GIM1.

How could you get banned at GIM2? You seem to be pretty mild-mannered. My husband was banned at GIM for posting a wisdom proverb about the poor stealing food on a thread about an article about pastor talking about that very topic.

It is more than clear, nothing and nobody can be trusted at this point. GIM had collectively created a fact checking, truth seeking, corruption exposing power that was growing along fundamental ideas of history. The recognition that central banks around the globe firmly in control of practically everything were using completely corrupted global, international, federal institutions to enslave and send to suffer billions of people was simply too much freedom of thought to not draw attention.

The same fate likely awaits this forum, I would strongly suggest an absolute focus on self reliance. Knowledge can be obtained from alternative sources like freedom forums, but it will probably take more than only knowledge in the near future.

That '70's silver art bar thread on GIM1 (R.I.P.) was my very first silver art bar thread on a gold and silver internet forum. I spent about 2 hours writing the original post of that thread. AGRO of GIM1 put that idea in my head to start a '70's silver art bar thread and I feel very happy for that because I learned a lot from other posters posting on that thread. If it was not for AGRO, then I probably would have never done it. I wish that AGRO was here on GSUS. He registered on GSUS and maybe one day he will decide to post on GSUS.

You are a jewel to add to the crown of gsus, hardy welcome! You bring to mind another gim lady poster, that dropped off the map over there, and my spelling and getting her name right sucks!!

Maginfarry or very close to that. She just disappeared from gim1 and I have wondered abort her more than once.

We have a lot of new members coming in, so I thought I would revive this thread. Welcome all! Let's hope 2011 starts with a large membership, high gold/silver prices (not too high, we still need to buy a little once in a while), and 1 less JP Morgan bank ;D.

I changed the title to be more "inclusive". GIM is the past. GSUS is the future (well at least for gold/silver forums).

Hello everybody,

I've lurked on here since GIM 1 went down and was a member there for a while before the little change that happened on April 1st. I loved GIM 1 for the wealth of knowledge and love of freedom exhibited there and was a little disillusioned when it changed. I cancelled my membership soon after. Somehow I found this place shortly after and wasn't sure how things were gonna take shape so I didn't actively participate. (Sorry, slightly paranoid.) Seems like many of the old GIM 1 posters that possessed similar thoughts and views made it here and the place is taking on that familiar feeling of camraderie with the occasional troll or schill to keep things interesting.

Thanks for having me and thanks to everyone who participates here in whatever capacity.

I look forward to the future whatever it may bring.

Wow nobody introduces themselves anymore?? I'll admit I wasn't going to either, I've been undecided about returning since I had difficulties posting(for some strange reason JQP couldn't find out why) under my prevs. handle Veni, Vidi..Evigilavi! I was only able to lurk around since March 2011 but had joined after GIM went down April 2010(originally joined GIM in Early 2007). I have mixed feeling about this forum, like many others that have either been kicked out or just left(just above this post are several examples). Usually its only two people that bug me here(unfortunately you also must deal with their cult followers), but as Wildcard had said, you have to have a thick skin, but I think what is most depressing is that we have these petty attitudes to point fingers at each other even in a place were we are supposed to fight a common enemy...ironic no? Divide & Conquer anyone?
Anyways, this if my official intro, probably won't post much, I said to myself I would post during the manhunt for the Tsarnaev brothers in Boston, but I let time get the best of me. I look forward to contributing to the forum though.
Man, I sure wish I could have still used my previous handle I was stuck with using only 10 characters(new members to GSUS), thus I used my friend's old handle from GIM=TRUTHseekr
