Pleae welcome WebTech. He has a lot of experience with the SMF forum, and has offered to help make this a hospitable and functional place. I appreciate his offering to jump in and help, and look forward to working with him.

I know you are all wondering what the rules are. There was an opening statement, which is very general, but did cover some reasonable issues (it is actually the default agreement, but seemed a reasonable start, though a bit legal-eezee). I will post it , then work out some specific policies.

I truly want to be open and allow open discussion. I do not want to see this forum get shut down for meniall things, so the main thing is be respectful, and think about what you are saying and what it accomplishes.

When dealing with people that are paranoid by nature - it's good to address questions such as these.

Pretty sure J6P already said webtech was not a gimmer, but was tech savvy and is helping him set up this forum. We'll convert him soon enough. Resistance is futile.

New announcement: WT has been promoted to an administrator. Please congratulate and thank him (or give him your sympathies if you understand the realities of the job).

Also, a round of applause for Avalon who has volunteered to moderate the rowdy Ladie's forum!

And welcome to our new AFFIRMATIVE ACTION moderator, Avalon!

(Avalon, I mean no disrespect to you as a person - I refer only to your new POLITICIZED role)

This place is starting to feel just like GIM 1 - in every one of the bad ways. :'( :'(

She is just a mod in the ladies' forum.

I don't think another mod is needed either - but at least she isn't a FULL mod.
