View Full Version : What is your carry piece?

I thought I'd start this one out with a discussion of what your primary carry piece may be. I carry a Ruger LCP .380 auto for my primary carry piece. 6 +1 rounds of .380 is what it holds, plus I have the crimson trace laser grip. What do you carry?

I have a Ruger LCP 380 and like it a lot.

Carries in the inside jacket pocket. I had feed troubles when I first got it. Sent it back to Ruger. They solved the problem and it was back in a week. Because of the Ruger back-up I bought one for my wife with the Crimson Trace.

But my all the time except when showering carry piece is a Springfield Micro Compact 45 ACP. Like it a lot.

My working around the cattle and particularly bulls piece is a Ruger Super Redhawk 454 Casull HAND CANNON.

Ruger LCP .380, seriously deciding on a Kimber .45 ultra carry (most comfortable gun I ever held) at present. So will have a .45 cc for days with more than one layer cloths and a lil .380 cc for those hot summer days .

If I could carry...I'd carry my Glock 27. Great little gun.

I'd love to get a Kimber 45 though. That would be my gun of choice.

I looked at the Kimber's last week.

Wound up walking out with a Wilson Combat 45.

I surprised myself because my intention was to buy a Kimber.

The Wilson felt and functioned better.

IMHO of course.

IF CC was legal in IL, my choice of carry piece would be my Diamondback ,380 Auto. This is an improved version of the Keltec P3AT.

For me it varies depending where I am and how I am dressed. I carry an LCP w/crimson trace at the gym but switch between a Romanian Tokarev and Glock 19 fro my daily CCW with a German Makarov in an ankle holster as my back up. For more formal wear I carry the LCP or a P-64 in a pocket holster.

Count me in as another Bersa Mini Thunder .45 carrier. Great reliable and surprisingly accurate piece that will eat anything but the car keys.

I always carry a p32 keltec and sometimes a P3AT in a shirt or vest pocket and sometimes in wallet holsters. One of the p32's has a crimson trace laser that I tend to carry at night.

When I'm around home in addition to a keltec I carry a Glock 33 in 357 sig on a belt holster but I also have a tuckable IWB holster that I like when I'm out in public.

Suprsing, isnt it? Ive never had a type of ammo that beast didnt like. Im sure if you could put a primer on the car keys, it'd fire that too.

Josey you would probably need to wear jeans a couple of inches larger in the waist band. If you're looking straight at me from the front or back I guess I look lopsided by three quarters of an inch.

This IWB is the Hidden Ally holster from High noon holsters. It's pretty comfortable for me.

At work--S&W .357 lightweight; in the truck--Wilson CQB; in the woods--Ruger SRH .454.
I have carried the S&W for ten years and I really do feel empty without it when I store it in the car at certain locations.
Of course my favorite would be the most expensive (Wilson,) but I do hit clay pigeons at 75 yards with a simple rest. It is much more fun to shoot than either revolver.

Although it would take a trench coat to conceal it.

Oh man, you live in one of the states where you have to tell them exactly what gun you're carrying for CCW? That sucks. What happens if you get a new one and want to carry that instead, do you have to fill out a big form and get them to OK it? If you get caught with the "wrong gun" do you lose the license?

Nevada every semi auto has to be individually listed. By make and model, not by SN.

Revolvers does not matter. Just REVOLVER:
