The thing with the old thanks is that it was post specific and you knew who shared your train of thought. A smite is cool too but only if you knew who smote ya, the why's are fodder for further debate. So, IMO, if the two, under those conditioned could be arranged that would be a perfect outcome.

I like that "Don't smite me bro" line too, I gave him a +k for it but was tempted to smite just for sh!ts and giggles.

If you really think the site owner cannot see who smites and blesses other members, I challenge you to set up this exact software on your own site. The "i cannot see, I'm just an admin." stuff is bogus!

I'll bet you dollars to donuts the smites are stored in a db table and anyone with a freaking clue can figure it out. I'm not an admin but if I was it would take me about 10 minutes to trace.
