WONDERFUL Radish recipe... for those who don't like the taste of them:

Slice radishes thin (1/8" or thinner)

Fry in extra-virgin olive oil on high heat, in a cast iron, copper, or clad skillet until golden-brown.

Remove, drain, place on clean paper towels and flip, to remove excess oil.

Salt, then eat like potato chips...

YUMMMMM!!!!

TY for the idea. I've got my raddishes coming up in about 2 weeks, maybe sooner.

Radishes are one of those things that taste like doo doo from the store. Homegrown are so much better.

My wife planted a bunch of French Breakfast (IIRC) and one other variety and they are very yummy.

We've been eating them for the last few weeks. It was over 80F here last week. :o

Hmmmm...never thought about frying/salting radishes. Sounds pretty good to me.

I've mainly just used them in making Kimchi, or in making pickled Daikon (Japanese style).

Thanks. I've only eaten them raw other than the radish kimchi I had in Korea.

Thanks Gaillo,

Like others, I've never thought of cooking radishes. We don't have any that are ready to be picked yet, but in a few weeks we'll have a crop.

I envy you guys in the warmer states.
