The horse is completely recovered, at least in his mind. Daughter went out Saturday to get a horse to move some yearlings and he wouldn't let her get anyone else than him. Worked six hours, did what he does, and came back sound. Lil Chicken said he never missed a beat.
I'm able to sleep laying down. That sleeping in a chair gets pretty old pretty quick. Probably @ 75%. Ribs are esentially OK, where the bull stepped on my hand, the fingers are functional. Where he stepped on my thigh outside and just below the hip, it's OK.
The Lord protects DRUNKS and FOOLS. I DON'T DRINK!
Lil Chicken is shooting more than before, and every day. Burning a couple of boxes a week. She is getting better at point and shoot. She has her own self-imposed mission. Also informed me that the Ruger SP101 is hers.
Damn hard to say no.
Again, thanks for asking.

Thats great to hear. Im glad the horse is back in the game. Hopefully you will be too.
I have 4 daughters myself and yours has sort of become a folk hero around these parts. Make sure she knows we're all still proud of her.

For those of you who missed the story, I'll try and hit the high points. CC prolly too modest.
He had a stray bull in with his cows that didn't belong to him. He went out with his trustee steed and tried to remove the bull from the cows (who were calving I believe). He had a pistol and a back-up with him, and his daughter (16) had one also, as she waited at the sidelines.
Said bull charged before he even expacted anything and took his horse out from underneath him, Stepped on his hand and was ready to end his days when,
BAM...BAM BAM
His daughter had hopped the fence, picked up one of his pistols and shot the bull before it killed him.
Freakin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for the synopsis. Really mean that.
One thing to add: My daughter is sixteen years old and 120 pounds. What I learned about her that day far outweighs anything it cost me physicaly.
