The first chart shows the performance of the S&P 500 since 1980 in FRNs.
The second shows the S&P vs. Gold.
Yet I still hear how "gold doesn't earn interest, etc". The author makes the point that the DOW may go to 36,000, but who cares, if a cup of coffee costs $24.
