Im so pissed. My wife and I finaly have a few extra pennies to rub together, so we plan to buy silver and BAM it goes over 17. So we wait...and wait and it sits sideways at 17 forever. So we put off a lot of stuff to save money for a dip....and it goes to freaking 18.

i had similar expectations.
looks like $18 is the new $16. who knows.
"traditional trading patterns" - where JPMorgan & HSBC are playing their games at LBMA & Crimex - have been interrupted.
your instinct that FRN's were increasingly valueless has been ratified.

Yes, it's positioned thusly to keep away from peasant tax returns, later when needed for .gov stockpile it will be half price. Sorry :)

That's happened to me before too.
Maybe another poster will post a silver rocket to help you out.

Thats not as bad as this time in 08 when I had jsut joined GIM, listened to the rather...boisterous proclomations of "to the moon" from posters like TA and Gkhan, and bought silver well into the $22 range, spending all of our free'd up money. Only to see it come crashing down to around $9 within the next few months and didnt have a dime left to buy anymore. Not that there was much physical avilable at that time anyways.

EDIT:
I think yall are right though, we may have an established floor this time at over 15. But we thought that in 08 too. I did manage to get a 10 oz'er at 15.70/oz on bullion direct just before the increase, so that makes me a little happy. Id be happoy to buy more in high 16's even LOW 17's but if it goes above 18.40 Im gonna sell whatevers in my BD portfollio and keep waiting for a dip.
