Interpol on the lookout for Saddam Hussein’s daughter - Raghad Saddam Hussein

Washington DC, Apr 6, 2010 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Interpol has issued a warrant for the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s daughter. Raghad Saddam Hussein is wanted on charges of financing terrorist acts. Currently Raghad stays in Amman (Jordan’s capital) with her family and her brood of 5 children. She made her debut on Interpol’s list in 2006 with her mother, on charges of abetting and financing terrorism acts. She had also organized the defense team for the father, when the US Army captured him in 2006.

Interpol says that, Raghad Saddam Hussein al-Majid was born in Baghdad on the 2 September 1968. They also reveal that she holds the citizenship of both Jordan and Iraq. She is also said to be fluent in Arabic as well as in English too. Her physical attributes are that she is 1.7 meters tall, and she has brown hair and hazel eyes. Interpol officials also say that anybody who has information about her whereabouts can contact the police or the General Secretariat of Interpol.

Meanwhile the Jordanian governmental spokesman Minister Nabil al-Sharif said that, "we have not received anything new from Interpol on this subject, and the last news that we received on this issue was when Interpol issued a so-called Red Notice on 23 November 2006 announcing that Mrs. Raghad was wanted. This was preceded by correspondence on 20 November of the same year between the Baghdad Interpol Division and the Amman Division that Raghad Saddam Hussein was accused in cases of financing terrorism, according to the bulletin."
