I know some think its silly to talk about the weather on a gold and silver board.
But some don't
So I figure we could use this thread to Brag or complain or just talk about the weather where we live and elsewhere.

If you think its silly...don't look.

Its cold, dark and rainy today in the Central California foothills

It is not silly to talk about the weather on a gold and silver site. We talked about much weirder things when we were on GIM1.

BTW: It is sunny and clear. The temperature is currently about 81 where I am at in Tennessee.

Blue bird weather in western taxachusetts, highs in the 60's, lows in the uper 20's. No bugs (yet). Lots of stuff in the garden under row covers. I live for this weather; summer sucks.

That weather would make me wake up with a smile on my face every day.

Hazy here in western NY, but slowly warming up. Had a high around mid 50ish this afternoon. Still too cold for my blood...

It's supposed to be sunny and mid 70's all week here in NC. I'm really enjoying it because I know it will be miserably hot soon and the mosquitoes will show up.

This time of year we have wind. We had rain two months ago. The rest of the year we have a condition we call "thinking of raining". The sky looks like it's going to rain. The air feels like it's going to rain. You might even think you felt a drop or two. But it never actually rains. We have that condition today. In the summer we have ____ . Nothing. No clouds, no wind, just ____ . The air is so still you start to feel like you might drown in a cloud of your own sweat. It evaporates and doesn't go away. You have to walk around to get away from it. And quiet. Outside of town it's so quiet you can hear the rocks grow. Yes, rocks grow here. Very slowly of course. The tan parts in the picture are where the rocks have been turned over. The brown stuff on top grows there, fed by dust which is spattered onto the rock when it rains, then baked by the sun.

And that is what passes for weather here.

BTW, the mountain used to be named "SH Mountain" on army maps. The 'H' stood for "House".

That's quite a compelling setting; such peace and solitude would be nirvana for some, and hell for others I imagine. You've got a gift for writing Saul.

where are you in the US, saul? sounds hot!

weather here in the SW UK has been crap all winter, rained and rained, we had a few weeks of snow too, very unusual for here (might get a day or 3 normally). past few days spring has sprung, sunny and clear. below pic is from a typical SW england landscape (dartmoor).

Snowing heavily and 35 degrees. The ground is warm so it's not sticking except on existing snow. Low five should understand, cept it's probably blowing rain where he's at.

I'm HERE (http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Maps/115-33.htm), where Mexico, California, and Arizona meet, just a few miles from the big quake last week. Throughout summer Yuma, AZ, Thermal, CA, and Indio, CA take turns being the hottest place in the nation.

Good question one in general and the other one in the lounge. Maybe split somewhere or time in the past?
