what would have happened if they didnt extend this at all? We already have unprecedented unemployment and foreclosure. There are no jobs in many places of the USa this is a huge mess thanks to our fine friends at the fed reserve.

Well, someone has to ensure that the unemployed and the lazy remain puppet voting blocs of the state.

Naa once thats all gone is when the unemployment numbers start to really drop. Good times ahead. We should be back to 5% or less unemployment by the end of the year.

99 weeks of checks on the wall, 99 weeks of checks. Take one down, pass it along, 98 weeks of checks on the wall...

I wouldn't let that standard of lazy impart you decision except what I posted is true.

Last one to the unemployment line wins.

I can't believe the repugs even mentioned it.

Guess if the numbers are small enough its O.K. for "The Party".

Yeah it would get very ugly if the 99 weeks of unemployment ran out and there was nothing left to pay the bills with. That would lead to desperation and as a result, that would cause people that would do things (i.e criminal acts) that they normally would not do during "normal" times. As a result, it would end up being a "Katie bar the doors" kind of ugly.

I'd like to thin it would get ugly and maybe start a revolt but the fact is that those that have lost everything seem to go camp in some tent city and hang out.. So far it isnt leading to anything. Now if these people realized that their taxes went to fund welfare and the welfare checks are still flowing then they might get pissed but I still dont think more than 1 or 2% is really going to do anything.
