Just got back..........first stop was to the biggest Toyota dealer in town (about 150 cars), five salesman in the lot and three inside the display room and not one single customer but me........only window shopping.

Next stop the $ store.........at the cashier one young girl in front of me with cases of can goods, me to her "Getting ready for the big one?" she looks at me kind of weird and then looks at car with my cases and smiled and said "Yes, it will be pretty soon".

Wally's World........ plastic bottle of Coke that was $1.39 last week is now $1.49.

Maxwell container of coffee was $6.00......... .50 cheaper than last week .....but, the container was 1/3 smaller, meaning that last week coffee went up to $8.50

Once Walt Mart is the only store in town then all prices will go up up uPPPPPPP.

"The big one"? I didn't think Oregon was earthquake territory. Or something else?

My rant for the day: Just returned from Costco. Why do they have to rearrange the merchandise every 3-4 weeks? One week the bread will be by the produce, the next week it will be across the store by the canned goods. Even within the refridgerator cases, they rearrange that too! Eggs on one side, then later on the opposite side in a different case. Same with hunting for the organic milk & many other products. Urrggghhh! I hate it.

Strawberry war is on though, $1.25/lb at Costco: $2+ in the grocery stores.

Anyone else have their Costco do this?

Costco and WalMart do it regularly. I solved my aggravation with their idea of creative merchandising by faxing in my order and let them pull it and have ready when I get there. Works like a charm in my opinion.

They don't have a problem and neither do I. I drive up with our big horse trailer with living quarters. The refrigerated and freezer stuff go right in the LQs refrigerator/freezer.

Our place is quite remote and we shop maybe every two months. With five in the family which includes twin boys, eighteen years old, 6' 3" and 290 pounds we go through a LOT of food. Never mind visitors.

Yes, but Costco is in the next BIG GIGGEST town hahahahahah, where I live is only a Micky Mouse one mule of a town, to small to be a one horse, so that the next town is about 35 miles from me and then the cos co town at 78 miles.

When TSHTF I have a feeling that I'll be the local Costco store for this town.
