What'd be newsworthy is an instance when the govt. does NOT lie to us.

Of course they have to.... I never had a doubt. Such scans will be saved just like flight recorders and security tapes at checkpoints. If there is ever an incident, they will review the scans.

Anyone believing the scan would be erased or temporary was too naive.
