Savage Mark II BV .22LR & Wolf Match Target

I wanted to put some rounds though this gun after finally mounting the scope on it. I had a big cheap box of Federal 36 grain ammo. And I decided to
splurge, and buy a box of Wolf match target to see what all the fuss was about. Long story short it was like night and day.

The gun is a Savage Mark II BV with a Bushnell Elite 3200 5~15x40 scope with weaver high mounts. I was shooting at 50 yards, with a harris bipod, and the
stock was bag supported.

You couldn't really "Zero" with this ammo. And when I zeroed with the Wolf, the federal was way off to the left.

I just need to put different brands through this thing to find out what it likes. It definitely likes Wolf!

I shoot aguila black box match ammo. A big improvement over the bulk pack stuff imo.

Remington Golden Bullet stinks in this gun too. I'm still trying to find the non match ammo it shoots the best. Haven't tried the Aguilla though. I have a box of that Aquila Sniper subsonic, but something tells me a 60 grain bullet out of this gun is going to do a bunch of tumbling.

Which Harris bipod is that? Did you need an adaptor for the stock? Thanks.

It's a Harris LM1A2, 9"~13" inch bipod.

There are two pincer clamps that are tightened by a knurled ring, you pop those pincers in the front stock lug then tighten the ring, the pincers close in the lug, and pull the bipod face snugly to the stock.

The LM1A2 has spring loaded telescoping legs, so when you press the button they pop out. They're pretty cool. I payed 60 some odd bucks for them.
