Today I was opening a can of tuna to make a boring ole tuna sandwich when it suddenly struck me that there was left over pizza from last night. Boy, was I happy!

Lasagna is the best. It's kind of expensive to make, though. Most comfort food is much better the next day, flavors melding together, better when it's cooked the second time.

I've managed to put together some very bright 10w LEDS to test that hurt your eyes to look at. Gonna replace every 110vac light in the house real soon and go 12vdc.
Also managed to write some code for a pic microcontroller to supply a steady 60hz for a massive 200 amp generater I hope to go off grid with. I even managed to get two pics microcontrollers communicating with one another. Neat stuff!
Oh.......and I even wrote down some more chapter and verse that everyone is waiting for me to supply. i'm gonna be starting a new thread about the three earth ages and satan appearing at the 6th trump.
Anyway thats all for the "absolutley nothing thread" for now.

I'll have him read the rest of the vac, vdc, pic microcontroller, hz, massive 200 amp generator, two pics microcontrollers communicating with who knows what, it is beyond me.

Green,
Unless your husband is knowledgeable in electricity or electronics I wouldnt have him read the rest. The vac, vdc, pic micro, hz its just going to confuse him. These things are not related to the 12vdc LEDS lamps fixtures I'm building and testing. They have to do with piecing a 120vac 200 amp genset/inverter together from scratch.
The Picmicro will supply and monitor a dependable 60hz sinewave that feeds into a two 200 amp 600vac rated Darlington amplifiers to produce the 110vac you have at the outlet.
I hoping to supply 110 vac at 100 or so amps to the house circuit breaker.
After that is completed its onto the brushless motor that will turn the mag that generates the 100amps at 12vdc.

Your cat may get very annoying when it's begging for food, but don't stop feeding it; remember that the dog might still be taking its food, and your cat is not at fault...It's just hungry.

WOW, Ken. That pizza looks great! Thanks for taking a picture of it. Those looks like fried taters to me.

edit: nope, those have to be breaded and fried zucchs.

edit edit: whether zucchs or taters, are they store bought? I never gardened when I lived in Bay area, I know you're different climate, but do you have produce yet from your garden in your area?

Wow, I've never seen a Bentley in person. I wonder if it belongs to a friend of a neighbor, or if it was abandoned, or a result of car-jacking, or kidnapping of a rich person for ransom, etc. :) Keep us posted.

k-os
25th April 2010, 03:01 PM
It's gone now. I've seen other vehicles parked in a similar spot. I had my other neighbor go and question the people in the previous vehicle (it was night time), and it was discovered they were waiting for my neighbor across the street, so this was probably the same. I think whoever was here in the Bentley is not the owner of the car, they work for the person who owns it. Just a guess.

If they're not doing me any harm, I don't care. If they need to park on my grass easement because their friends' grass easement is greener, I don't care. I do tell my neighbors that there is a vehicle out there, just so they know.

There are all kinds of crazy fancy cars a few miles from near where I live. A Bentley can be seen any day 6-10 miles from here. But here, right here, at the end of my driveway . . . not so much. You'd have to make a lot of wrong turns to get this far from their area.

:dunno

That's an amazing story. The deer blood popped out for me, too.

Here's my understanding so far.

I believe the Noahic covenant is still in effect today, it has never been rescinded by God. It includes the prohibition of drinking of blood and the death penalty for murder.

Genesis 9:1-6 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

Acts 15:28-29 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

We're still not supposed to drink blood, but later Paul says eating meat sacrificed to idols was nothing in and of itself. But nothing specific is ever said by Paul rescinding the prohibition of drinking blood.

The context was that at that time it was customary for meat sold in the marketplace to be consecrated to idols, as paganistic religion permeated the culture.

1 Corinthians 8:4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

But- although it means nothing, we are not to do it if it offends our brother's conscience, and might lead him to

1 Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

1 Corinthians 10:25-33 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake: For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof: Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience? For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

Though this appears to have primary application to Israel, notice the doctrine of Balaam includes eating things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication (whether physical or spiritual).

Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

The teaching and seduction of God's servants by Jezebel, a self-proclaimed prophetess, to commit fornication (whether physical or spiritual), and to eat things sacrificed to idols.

Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

I believe the letters to the seven Churches are written directly to Israel and the Tribulation saints. That doesn't mean they don't have application to the gentile church during the dispensation of grace, both in actual historical churches, a historical overview of the overriding characteristics of the Church through out history, and probably other applications. They are clearly prohibited from eating things sacrificed to idols during the tribulation, that is clear.

Though all things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient, and since I don't perfectly understand these matters yet, there are some things I determine ahead of time I not do, as a believer

Commit murder (obviously)

Commit fornication (or adultery)

Drink blood (though I like steak med rare)

Knowingly eat food consecrated to idols

Curse the Jews or the state of Israel.

Oh, and I will die rather than take any kind of mark or chip even though I know I'm saved, I have eternal life, and believe in a pre-trib rapture.

I had to look it up....No they apparently are not Kosher :)

For food to be certified Kosher, this means that it guarantees several different things:

1:The animal has been killed in a certain way
2:The food has absolutely NO contact with pork, shellfish, lobster, and other scavengers (foods that people of Judaism cannot eat).
3:It has been blessed by a Rabbi.
4:It has been made completely or partially by the hands of someone in the Jewish faith

I hope you are OK. Have not seen you here today.

I'm doing great, Grad. I finally have my front yard done, weeding, moving plants that are too close together, spreading mulch, removing tree branches with bag worms, yuck!...

Regarding my poor fingernail, I was gardening with gloves that were damp. That makes your fingernails pliable so that a longish fingernail can be bent backwards an snap below the nail bed. Youch! It's still hanging in there, but it gets caught on EVERYTHING. It's just a matter of time until it tears completely off. Longish fingernails and gardening do not mix well. They are short now.

Yep its Hot...I add extra Jalapeno peppers and garlic . :)
..

From Better Homes and Gardens HOT & SPICY COOKING (1984).

TNT Chili

2 lb Lean; ground beef
2 md Onions; chopped
1 Green peppers; chopped
1 Stalk celery; chopped
1 Clove garlic; minced
2 cn (16-oz) tomatoes; cut up
1 cn (15-oz) tomato sauce
1 1/2 c Water
6 -(up to)
7 Pickled Jalapeno peppers;
1/4 c Chili powder
1 tb Ground Cayenne pepper
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Black pepper
1 Bay leaf
2 cn Red kidney beans

PREPARATION

It all depends on what kind and how much chile pepper you add, so you can make any recipe as hot as you like. Cook ground beef, onions, green pepper, celery, and garlic in large pan till meat is browned. Do not drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, and remaining ingredients except kidney beans. Simmer uncovered for 1 1/2 hrs., stirring occasionally. Stir in beans and cook another 30 minutes. "T.nt (sdm-marked) Chili was judged extra hot by our panel of hot-food enthusiasts. One of the tasters began to sweat after a few bites. All of the panelists agreed that each bite was noticeably hotter, but enjoyed the chili down to the last spoonful."

Is it not practical to do both?

Not really. Painting involves drinking, and laundry involves driving. Neither the two shall meet.

Someone could be reading a post that you wrote from two weeks ago and smiting you. Or any other post for that matter. It's non-linear so you can't attach a time line to the smites.

Yep. baby bunny ;D He is one of two, that are living in our garage.

Yes the nest is on our property been there at least two years now. (way up high in an oak three)

15th May 2010, 09:46 PM
Aw, you adopted orphaned baby bunnies. Will you keep them as pets, or release them when they are older, hopefully when the hawks move away from their nest?

I have a baby bunny story and a hawk story, both having to do with my cats who we "adopted" as strays kittens.

One day Oliver (my cat) came prancing across the yard towards me with his tail proudly straight up in the air and I noticed he had a rather large mouse in his mouth and I feared he had caught a rat. Whatever it was, it was making a terrible high-pitched screaming sound. As he got closer, I was horrified to see that he was carrying a little tiny wild baby rabbit. Oliver really thought I would be so pleased with him for catching a bunny, he was so proud, it was kind of funny when I look back on it. Instead, I kind of freaked out a bit and made him let go of the baby rabbit and kept him from chasing after it since he felt he'd earned that meal. I was relieved to see the baby hop away apparently unhurt. Oliver wasn't too happy with me though.

Now for the hawk story. My parents and my husband and I were eating dinner on our deck when we saw a Cooper's hawk flying very, very slowly just a few feet off the ground through our backyard for maybe a hundred feet or so. Following a few yards behind the hawk, our very small female cat (about 7 pounds at the time) was slowly chasing after it. Once we figured out what was going on it was comical to watch because it was like a Mexican standoff. The hawk didn't seem sure if it was being chased by his dinner, and the cat wasn't sure if she should be chasing that thing but she just couldn't help herself. Fortunately, both lived to see another day. :)

I received a 1961 quarter from the change machine at the laundromat tonight.

Then my feather pillow exploded in the washing machine. The all-hispanic clientele and staff thought that I washed a chicken, and I didn't know how to say down/goose feathers en español.

Since I had time to kill while my clothes dried, and a few $20 bills in my purse, I used the change machine as if it were a slot machine. After putting $80 in the change machine, I had scored a total of four (4) 90% silver quarters.

The feathers went all over the laundromat. I was embarrassed, but the silver quarters made up for it. I have no doubt in my mind that the people there think I am crazy - because of the feathers and the change machine.

Good times.

Isn't it funny how satisfying it is to find a silver quarter, which is worth about 3 bucks. It seems way more satisfying that finding a 5-dollar bill.

And just because people might think you're crazy, it doesn't mean you're NOT crazy! ;)

It's a dream right now though... I'm working full time.
