Folks, I'm prepping a sailboat for sea...and have done a lot of research in deciding upon what type of cooker to have aboard.

I thought I'd share some of the time I've invested...

I've just purchased this stove:

Click Here for Stove (http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?path=-1|406|694|319792&id=60353)

It has great reviews.

Advantages:

1) No pressurized gas. Completely safe. Burns a liquid, which I can store many gallons to be able to cook for years..

2) Bulletproof. No moving parts. These things, stainless steel, will last ages.

3) No electricity.

4) Will run on anything flammable in a pinch, but clean burning fuels are recommended.

5) Reviews, customers rave about it. Plus, fuel is available everywhere in the world.

Disadvantages:

1) Cost, it's very expensive. Also, the fuel, can be expensive too.

2) Refueling can be a hastle, if you are in the middle of cooking a meal.

3) The flame, is not as hot as gas. Takes a little longer to boil water, but not much.

Anyway, I thought this info might help others, looking for the perfect survival stove/oven.
