Unsually after a rain, when it's not too cold (>=65 degrees), in Spring-Summer they start poppin. Look on a Southerly faced hill and around the base ofElm trees, or around fallen Elm's. Soak 'em in warm water overnight to kill bugs, cut in half, rinse them, dip in milk, coat in flour then fry em up. Delicious! ;D

you also might be able to sell them to your local produce store. Around here in the MidWest the Grocers sell them for around $18/lb when in season.

still waiting to see my first morel

never been a big on mushrooms, but FREE FOOD IS . . . . . . FREE FOOD

sticking with morels and sulphur shelf ( chicken of the woods )
