how would you open a tall/big can without a can opener ? ( 1.13 kg ) it was on sale

used the Buck 471 to make the hole ( didn't think the cheapie knife would punch through )

used the $1 knife as a stop for leverage with the Buck cutting - slow but it was opening

the cheap $1 knife was better for cutting with the Buck as a stop


may use both cans later as a quickie Hobo Stove post

I got a bunch of those military keychain can openers when I ordered some junk from nitro-pak. They aren't too fast but they're so small and cheap that you might as well have one of them wherever you anticipate needing to open a can.

P-38 was the name. Here's the first google result for it:
