Funny how a student, who simply logged into an email account after being given the password, gets charged with 4 felonies, while at the same time the government maintains that there is no reasonable expectation of privacy for our emails, laptops, and anything else online or computer related, and they have the right to snoop through anything they want.

It is 4 felonies because it was Sarah Palin's email. If this same student accessed Joe Blow's email account, then the student would probably get a slap on the wrist.

Hacking into Sarah Palin's email = Felony.

Hacking into the email of a nobody (i.e. not a political celebrity) = Misdemeanor.

She's one of Sauron's top lieutenants so it doesn't come as a surprise.
