A white supremacist lawyer was stabbed and beaten to death by a black neighbour who had done yard work for him at his home in Pearl, Mississippi.

A preliminary post mortem showed Richard Barrett, 67, was stabbed multiple times in the neck and bashed in the head, Sheriff Ronnie Pennington said.

He had burns over 35 per cent of his body, though investigators believe he was killed on Wednesday night and his house set on fire Thursday to cover up his death.

Pennington did not disclose a motive but said neighbour Vincent McGee, 22, was charged with murder on Thursday and deputies charged three other people in the case on Friday. Albert Lewis, McGee's stepfather, was charged with being an accessory after the fact, while Vicky and Michael Dent, who live nearby, are charged with being accessories after the fact and arson.

Pennington did not describe their involvement but said all three were being held at the county jail. He did not know if they had attorneys.

Barrett traveled the country to promote anti-black and anti-immigrant views and founded a supremacist group called the Nationalist Movement. He had a knack for publicity but little real influence, one expert said.

'Richard Barrett was a guy who ran around the country essentially pulling off publicity stunts,' said Mark Potok, who monitors hate groups for the Alabama-based Southern Poverty Law Center.

'He really never amounted to any kind of leader in the white supremacist movement.'

His body was found on Thursday morning after neighbours saw smoke coming from his house in a rural area of Jackson.

The sheriff said McGee had not yet hired a lawyer and the suspect's mother had no comment when she went to the jail where her son was being held.

I don't know.... It seems that the slave owners had blacks working for them... While I understand all slave owners didn't hate their slaves... I have had very few black friends who could joke about anything... but most who were soooo hypersensitive to the slightest thing that you had to constantly be on your guard. When somebody expresses hate, the names are just a symptom- not the cause. The underlying hate is festering whether they say it or not. But when someone is goofing around, there is probably no hate in that.

I think the training in our schools and in the media is causing this sensitizing as if the blacks have just "earned" their freedom from a mean white slavemaster who whipped them constantly. NONE of these guy/gals have been on plantations workin for whitey. But they want reparations. The blacks who study and work hard move ahead in life. Those who take attitudes and refuse to work attempt to bring down those who work. It is not whitey who is the enemy, but they hurt themselves.

The old white people I have seen who hate blacks have had bad experiences with blacks mugging people in their neighborhoods or breaking in the their houses. They see a difference in behavior. They don't care about the good blacks who suffer with this too. That is not their business. They are only concerned about what happens to them.

The game that the power elite is playing will probably be ratcheted up more. When all have the entitlement mentality and their real slavery is assured, the controls will increase. Keeping people focused on low level enemies (tribal warfare) will prevent them from ever opposing the national invader.

While the PTB certainly use the media to their further their agenda and keep tensions at a high level, my daily reality is that when I'm sitting in traffic in Memphis I'm not scanning my mirrors for approaching Jews, Muslims or Investment Bankers that want to rob/jack me up. I can assure you that is teardrop meant having killed, you`d see it on plenty of faces and also on the faces of tough guy wanna-be`s.
