How would they know they are vacant unless they are bank owned?
If the amount owed is (guess) $100,000 on average, this would be $1.9 trillion in "lost" money.
Hmmmm.... how much did our government borrow in the past 14 months?

Remember that the banks wont say exactly how many houses are closed down, they don't want to scare the cheeps away so that they hide the numbers.

The couple down the street from me haven't paid their mort in 12 months, and are still living there saving the 2k a month. They plan on leaving soon to buy a place out of state.
The banks won't come clean on all the foreclosures that they are holding, as that would make them more insolvent than they are.
Lots of empty houses here without a trace of a for sale sign.

No need to worry, as soon as the government gets rid of 2/3 of the population there will be plenty of empty houses.
