When the Republicans and guys like Herdildo Rivera hate this...It must be a good thing!
Wait until they see how badly it bankrupts Kalifornia, when a million illegals leave AZ and move there.

AZ will be on its own here. ICE will not help them process all these folks. Without help from the Feds, this will go nowhere.

Which is exactly why if Arizona was going to pass such a law then they should have figured out some way in which they would process the immigrants out of the state on their own without going through ICE. Thier lack of foresight is their biggest fail.

FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT MADE BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY
OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS
STATE WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS
UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE,
WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON. THE
PERSON'S IMMIGRATION STATUS SHALL BE VERIFIED WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 1373(c).
So basically that means patrolling down the street.
That FOX bitch on the O'reiley non-factor blew it when she said it had to be within regular investigative procedure.

When I first heard of it, my first thought was it'll never fly, it may pass, but it'll get shot down, I'm all for it, I think they should've come up with a better way to do it, it's like the Judge says, it'll be challenged from the git-go, and virtually every case will sue, I'm thinking if this was a matter of "dipping your toe in the water first" to see how much support it garnered? Clearly though Something Has to be done, AZ has reported it costs the state billions every year to enable illegal individuals

Can't the illegals be driven to this sign and point them in that direction?

I'll bet there'll be a ton of people down there soon trying to get busted without papers.
Just to find out where they get deported to.

The illegals and their enablers run most of the place and they'll damned well see to it that you accept it.
I'd prefer it if they were contained in CA as opposed to being dispersed nationwide because at least we all know that CA is heading down the tubes.

If you watch FOX News like me you'll understand everything perfectly.
Everything is O.K. the other side blew it out of proportion.
However now, the summary action will require you to carry either a passport, or national I.D. at a small renewal fee.

Horn, that troubles me also. I have a feeling that this was done intentionally. Make the invasion so annoying that people would gladly give up their liberties.
But how was this legal and no liberties were crossed during Operation Wetback?
Operation Wetback in action
The effort began in California and Arizona and coordinated 1075 Border Patrol agents, along with state and local police agencies, to mount an aggressive crackdown, going as far as police sweeps of Mexican-American neighborhoods and random stops and ID checks of "Mexican-looking" people in a region with many Native Americans and native Hispanics. In some cases, illegal immigrants were deported along with their American-born minor dependent children as is standard international practice. This was although the children were by current legal interpretation of the 14th amendment U.S. citizens. Some 750 agents targeted agricultural areas with a goal of 1000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 immigrants were caught in the two states. Around 488,000 illegal immigrants are claimed to have left voluntarily for fear of being apprehended. By September, 80,000 had been taken into custody in Texas, and the INS estimates that 500,000 to 700,000 had left Texas on their own. To discourage re-entry, buses and trains took many deportees deep within Mexico before releasing them. Tens of thousands more were deported by two chartered ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried them from Port Isabel, Texas, to Veracruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles (800 kilometers) to the south. Some were taken as far as 1,000 miles. Deportation by sea was ended after seven deportees jumped overboard from the Mercurio and drowned, provoking a mutiny which led to a public outcry in Mexico.

Yep, and when ICE leaves AZ high and dry, what message do you think that send to gang leaders? First plug up the AZ system with stooges, then once the system is maxed out, send in the real trouble. AZ is so screwed.

I could, but in order to do so I would have to cite, line by line, excerpts from the book, and refute them. I'm not in a position to do that at the moment.
I'm confident that you have read said book?

Well everything is now resting on the Feds. shoulders to act quickly without reading any fine print,
control of everyone & everything is primary, laws and their fine print are of a secondary in nature.
The people of Arizona, are tertiary.
Also remember if some king pin in Mexico doesn't anty up properly, there's always a need for response action.

As far as him asserting that the law is unconstitutional... he doesn't really provide any reasoning to back that up, does he?
And as for quotes... I don't think I could get my point across with a couple of quotes out of the book, because my statement was made based on an impression I got that relies heavily on context.
I'm considering starting a thread soon about this subject, where I can take the time to put something worthy together.
To be honest, I've gotten to the point where I'm just not that interested in changing people's mind on things, but when it comes to a celebrity like Napolitano who seems to be making a huge impression on a lot of folks, I think it is important to take a close look at what the say, and do.
There were some... well, "slip-ups" in the book that I think could shine a light on this guy's true beliefs, if my interpretations are correct.
I will submit them soon.

Look at his face again....Is he really white? Therefore, does he care about whitey? I know its not a prerequisite, as hannity and o reilly are butt white and don't care either. But I never trusted napolitano and his constitution bullshit. The articles of confederation were better than the constitution anyways.
