You don't have to be psychic to make this prediction: the fastest growing sector in the US economy during this depression is going to be tax evasion.

Basically, businesses will have to issue 1099s whenever they do more than $600 of business with another entity in a year. For the $14 trillion U.S. economy, that’s a hell of a lot of 1099s. When a business buys a $1,000 used car, it will have to gather information on the seller and mail 1099s to the seller and the IRS. When a small shop owner pays her rent, she will have to send a 1099 to the landlord and IRS. Recipients of the vast flood of these forms will have to match them with existing accounting records. There will be huge numbers of errors and mismatches, which will probably generate many costly battles with the IRS.

Let me count the ways...............that I can f**k you, welcome to a new world of slavitud to those who are supposed to speak for us all and have made made us into their slaves.
Even posting here now makes me nervous , not from the "chosen ones" but from our own government........and that's bad, for someone like me to say that is bad, very very bad.
My new passport just came in, the covers are twice as thick as the old one and you cannot bend it, it even tells you that it contains a chip but don't tell you how to protect it.
WOLVERINESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
PS: Can't find the word "slavitud" anywhere but I like it......slavitud = having the life of a slave and to serve someone.

Come on, it is obviously going to create jobs! ALL BUSINESSES are going to have to hire somebody just to track/organize/send out those forms to all their suppliers, clients, landlords, and other incidental contacts. People that can manage a businesses 1099's are going to be in high demand soon. Better start learning the skills now so you can gaurantee yourself a job!

Did you intend to type "slavery"?
Anyway, I'm not sure what else is hidden in the bill but it was one of the greatest opportunity to grant the Feds unlimited power to do anything they please and very few could understand it due to the complex legalese.
Oh, and just TRY to repeal it a few years from now.

Always demand cash for your product or service. Always pay cash to your vendors or employees or subcontractors.
There is also something called casual labor. Anything under 600 and you dont have to make someone an employee. If possible use lots of casual labor in your business. If you absolutely have to use a check to pay for some casual labor then make a check out to Jose Garcia and have him sign it over to you. You can go to the bank and cash the check and pay him in cash then.
Of course if there is no Jose Garcia that does casual labor for you and you just want to keep that money for yourself without paying taxes I certainly wont tell. Just make sure you have a friend that can sign Jose's name.
There's lots of things you can do to get creative and avoid the tax man.

It's an attitude of servitude
as opposed to an attitude of gratitude.
I like it.

I've done business with many a company and have done way more business than $600 dollars. Some of them issue 1099s others don't. Some ask for W-9s others don't.
The ones that don't issue seem to have some other tax line they put companies like me under.
Haven't figured out the reasoning behind it.

No reasoning, just general non compliance, there is a lot of it out there!

how does this apply to PM's ?
does this mean that if you go into a coin shop and sell an AGE for cash (call it spot @ $1160), the coin shop will have to file a 1099 - and ask for your SSN ?
it may provide the incentive to purchase smaller amounts of PM's. e.g. a 10 ounce bar - silver would have to be $60 an ounce to meet the $600 requirement - if you're getting spot for the 10 ounce bar.
does this mean PM'ers will be cutting up their one ounce rounds into little pieces and selling those pieces $599 at a time ?

bump
couldn't we start a religion that condemns the IRS and the US Government as an evil entity, and claim a religious right to avoid evil entities ?
that's got to be part of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness".
i think my feelings on the subject are close to those of the Amish and possibly some American Indian tribes.
