Recently, there have been a few members that have posted that they are now debt free.

As of today, add me to the list! I simply got tired of looking at red and bombed it!

Au... Ag... Debt free

Life is good.

To all out there… these two adages hold true

Debt = Slavery
If you don’t hold it, you don’t own it

Congratulations! One small word of advice - keep quiet around the debt slaves. They don't like seeing others free.

That or they just simply can't comprehend. "Why would you pay off your mortgage? Don't you want the tax write off??" hehehe ;D

Congrats tekhen!

This is a good week for the GSUSers. I don't have a mortgage, but, as of today I have no more CC debt. Free and clear.

Debt free - but not from taxes, which are the biggest threat to being and remaining debt free.

Congrats Tekhen. One day, I will also say that I am debt free. Thank you for keeping me motivated in my quest to become debt free. I plan to become debt-free in about 3 1/2 to 4 years from now.

Awesome! You will enjoy.

Someone should start a debt free club or a sticky on the subject.

Two people in this post are claiming to have become debt free today. That is really an accomplishment.

Congrats tekhen!

I'd like to bitchslap the next person that recommends going into crushing debt to remove about 100 owed bucks on a tax return.

In other words, good job Tekhen!

Quite a feat, and very praise worthy.

thank you all...

many here have spoke of the ills of debt.
knowing that as a collective we were either out of debt or pushing ourselves to that point is what makes it so much better. more of a team effort than some may think with the support given.

for those pushing... keep at it! I hope others will post when they are free from their bondage.

I again thank all!
