Hunger in US in 1932-33

Gentlemen, what do you know about hunger statistics and hunger marches in US in 1932-33?

There's a bunch of statistics out there indicating that not only Ukraine had famine, but US as well. There are millions of people missing from official statistics of the researchers. Anybody can comment on this one?
