Rand Paul and Israel
By Philip Klein on 4.22.10 @ 11:06AM
I've obtained a document that the Rand Paul campaign is circulating to those interested in his views on Israel, and it's interesting to see how the positions he's taking as a Republican Senate candidate in Kentucky differ from those adopted by his father, Rep. Ron Paul, a harsh critic of U.S.-Israel ties.
"Israel and the United States have a special relationship," Rand's position paper begins. "With our shared history and common values, the American and Israeli people have formed a bond that unites us across the many thousands of miles between our countries and calls us to work together towards peace and prosperity for our countries."
Rand goes on to support free trade with Israel, call for divestment from Iran, and "strongly object to the arrogant approach of (the) Obama administration" toward the peace process. "Only Israel can decide what is in her security interest, not America and certainly not the United Nations," he asserts.
In one clear departure from his father, Rand states that:
As a United States Senator, I would never vote to condemn Israel for defending herself.
Whether it is fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon, combating Hamas-linked terrorists in Gaza or dealing with potential nuclear threats in the Persian Gulf, Israeli military actions are completely up to the leaders and military of Israel, and Israel alone.
THE REST.

Why should he vote on such nonsense?
I guess it's all in how you interperate that statement. Congress votes constantly on BS that shouldn't even be voted on. Besides, if Israel wants to defend itself then it should be able to. Notice I said defend, not act on offense. All states or people should be able to defend themselves and whether or not you like Jews that's a fact.
I donated to his dad too, I'll never donate to another politician again as RP duped me.

I never supported Rand, for said reason, or solely based on blind faith. After hearing Palin was supporting him, that pretty much sealed the deal with me.

I don't think you can hold someone responsible for being supported by someone else.

Ideologies mean little to nothing.
What politicians say means little to nothing.
The rulers stay in power no matter which party is in majority or which flaveor of ideology is expressed.
If you want to know who is in command, just ask who it is you cannot criticize.

Can't get any more neoconservative than that.
I'm with you, General... not a dime.

No they won't. If the chickens were ever coming they would have been here by now. We are on our own.

"The leading place will be held by organs of an official character. They will always stand guard over our interests and consequently their influence will be comparatively small.
"The second place will be held by semi-official organs whose aim it will be to attract the indifferent and lukewarm.
"In the third category we shall place organs of apparent opposition. At least one will be extremely antagonistic. Our true opponents will mistake this seeming opposition as belonging to their own group and will thus show us their cards.
quote above from Three Degrees of Jewish Journalism mentioned in protocols.
There is nothing that the International Jew fears so much as the truth, or any hint of the truth about himself or his plans. And, after all, the rock of refuge and defense, the foundation of endurance for Jew or Gentile must be the Truth.

I don't use this term much but L...O...L What common values? Calls on us to work for peace? GSUS talk about double speak anyone who is "hip" knows that this is complete bullsh*t. Israel has not done a single thing for us or to promote peace, quite to the contrary they have infiltrated our government to an astonishing degree and have a monopolistic banking/usury system set up here and around the world that work directly against the interest of the citizens while at the same time waging constant war. As all politicians, someone wrote this for him or told him to say this, I wonder who it is 8)
But then again votes don't matter :)

It vanished, but on GIM1 there was a "Controlled Opposition" thread I started. The only way there's change is if collectively people get fed up and want only city and county govt, and spend the time to oversee it. Some state govt could be retained I figure as well. Of course , they would have the time given that big govt was now off their backs. But until taxes and fiat go away, nothing changes. Plan A has never worked, plan B has no definition.

I remember that thread. The more local that a government is, the more it reflects the values of it's participants.

Why oh why would anyone extend their support to someone wishing to be a member of an anti-Christ group like the US Congress?

Thank you for posting and reading that thread Buddha. It really is a shame it vanished into the Internet afterlife. I saved my op, but it was the comments by members that were worth much more than the original op. Most of the threads, all of them actually, had comments which were very educational and often entertaining as well. The way they were lost was very upsetting to say the least.
Also, there's many that are controlled opposition without evening knowing they are. Even at the "truth and freedom" forums, members can fall into this category. But I have started to see some important changes here at GSUS (and even to a much smaller degree over at GIM2). There was a thread over there, that a whole lot of members took a stand regarding the MSM contrary to one of the popular frequent posters. It was good to see the 44 Internet posters (or whatever the actual number is) still ready and willing to state the truth, regardless who they have to come up against. I guess when you spend a lot of time thinking outside the matrix, one's resolve and ability to see cleary through the distractions/disinformation improves.
