These "genetic tests" can't be verified, obviously, since there are no living Neanderthals (nor "hominid ancestors"). It is pure speculation and extrapolation of belief.

Actually the egyptians were not black... applying modern notions of race (white, black, asian) to ancient Egypt is anachronistic, and about skin colour, the ancient Egyptians were neither black nor white: they had a fair/olive skin color as opposed to the typical black of sub-saharian africans, but they were not white as we defined it today (i.e. European/Caucasian).

Moreover, the "Asian" foreigners we talk about are not today's asian in the common understand of the term (i.e. people of Chinese, Japanese etc. origin), but they were Semitic populations from the Middle East with racial features similar to today's Israelis and Arabs.

So I say its all BS and really doesnt matter... its just another notch in the painting of the Western civilization and whites as sub standard.

If they interbred with the people that emigrated out of Africa, it is not impossible that this trait was passed on in the creation of the Caucasian race and the Mongolian race... No I didn't look what their agenda is, but the source of the information was an article in the Journal Science... However to me it is not a great leap of imagination to aknowledge, that there was interbreeding between Homo Sapiens Africanus and Homo Sapiens Neanderthalis, and this created the in intellect superior Homo Sapiens Sapiens race... In fact it makes more sense to me than:
1)An evolution of Homo Sapiens Sapiens from Africa only
2)Aliens doing genetic engineering on humanoids on earth
3) God blowing his spirit into clay and creating Adam...

UncaScrooge, we were all taught that. Obviously to some extent Neanderthal man was inferior, since they died out... Apart from the 1-4% (or whatever it may be) that lives on in European genome, and to a lesser extent in Occidentals and Orientals genome. Maybe the Cro-Magnon had more of a warrior spirit. They lived in a very harsh climate in ice age Europe, and to survive they could not afford to spend any resources to fight neighbour tribes that lived far away, more inclined to co-operate. In comes Cro Magnon, who were trained to fight neighbour tribes in densely populated Africa for control of strategic resources such as access to fresh water and hunting grounds... Maybe Neanderthal man didn't even have it in his mindset that they ran a risk of being killed by other humans... I am just speculating though...

No you are right, and after reading up on Neanderthals I saw that they had a proportionally small frontal lobe, or at least the skull shape suggests so... However their temporal lobes where well developed, which is where love and hate and religious experience is situated... Maybe the small influence of Neanderthal in European genome gave us a sense of higher purpose...
